Tellico 2.0pre2 Released

Hi everyone,

Tellico 2.0pre2 is available at
http://tellico-project.org/files/tellico-2.0pre2.tar.bz2

Since version 2.0pre1 was released, the following changes have been made:

    * The dependency on the QCA2 library was removed. It is no longer 
necessary for running Amazon searches.
    * Default fields for entry creation and modification date were added.
    * The documentation was updated.
    * A bug that caused a crash with some large images was fixed.
    * HTML export was fixed to include correct image location.
    * A crashing bug when creating loans was fixed.
    * Saving the visible columns and ordering was fixed.

Bang on it as much as you like, please backup your data. Send your issues to 
the mailing list.

Tellico is in string freeze

Hi everyone,

I hope to release Tellico 2.0 in a couple of weeks. Tellico is located in 
extragear/office/tellico/ and is a general collection manager. Home page is 
http://tellico-project.org and announcement at
http://tellico-project.org/tellico-20pre2-released

Version 2.0 will be the first for KDE4. I just put up the 2nd pre-release 
and with that, I don't expect to change any more strings or documentation 
before 2.0. So translators, here's your two week notice. I appreciate all 
the hard work that you do!

Amazon Secret-Access-Key not stored

Hi,
I just installed tellico-2.0pre1 on Ubuntu 9.04.
I get no data from Amazon. The debug window tells me that there's now
secret key:

Would you consider a 1.3.6 version where these non-working searches are
disabled?

Perhaps with a small warning that says: "the search is disabled because
xxx has changed its API. You can upgrade to Tellico 2.0 to use it".

Hmmm, I'm having trouble reproducing that. It seems to work for me.

It works now with tellico 2.0pre2 ....

daemon manually and now amazon answers to my questions.

were there problems integrating the new webcam code sent to you Aug 6th?
I'm aware the patch didn't reach the list, because it was too big, but you 
should have received a copy.

Anything I can do about this?

Hi,

I have just succeeded building and running tellico-2.0pre2.
I can open and save existing data files, including modifying existing 
entries. However, when I create a new entry, tellico exits with a 
segmentation fault as soon as I try to save it.
(The KDE crash handler comes up but the developer information is 
described as 'not useful'.)

what more information should i try to provide?

If you recompile using the -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=debug flag for the cmake 
command, the crash handler should have useful info. You can send that. And 
the exact steps that causes the crash? Does it matter what kind of 
collection?
