Oh yes !!!!!
Excellent job Robby. I'm ready to continue to enter my remaining CDs
(lots of s here ;-) in tellico. What is the current record ? ;-)

Many thanks for your tireless work, and also very kind attitude here.
Your project is an inspiring example for all of us in the Open Source
World.

Warm regards,

I just upgraded to version 1.9 with kde 4.3.

I get no results whenever I do an imdb search. However amazon does work but
not as well as before. Is this s bug or is there a setting I'm missing?

Questions about pdf file associations

Hi all,

I have problems when opening linked pdf files in tellico. By default, the files are opened with GIMP. I have change file associations using  systemsettings but it still does not work in tellico although it works in the KDE session.

any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

I'm sorry to have to put it this way, but there is no version 1.9. If your
distribution has chosen to package an unreleased version, it makes it very
hard for me to answer questions like yours since I have no idea what version
of code you're running.

Once I release a version of Tellico for KDE4 (beta, pre-release or
whatever), if you still have problems, then please let me know. Or if you're
using versions compiled from SVN, where you can update periodically...and in
that case, I'll need more details from you. Just saying that amazon doesn't
work as well as before doesn't tell me anything. Provide a specific example
with specific expected results...

Thanks,
Robby

Evidently, this problem seems to occur frequently. First, I have no idea if
KDE4 file associations work for a KDE3 app. systemsettings is for KDE4,
right? I don't have any idea if that affects the current SVN version of
Tellico.

Second, Tellico doesn't have anything to do with which application opens. It
just tells the desktop to open the file and it's up to the desktop to do
that. It seems that Gnome doesn't obey KDE and vice-verse, not much I can do
about that.

So for Tellico 1.3.x, you have to to use kcontrol...

I have no idea why a distribution would choose to associate GIMP with pdf
files. File a bug with them...

Re: imdb results

Thank you for your quick reply. In the about box my it says:

Version 1.9
Using KDE 4.2.95 (KDE 4.2.95 (KDE 4.3 RC1)) "release 139"

the rpm I used is a suse 11 rpm: tellico-1.9_SVN20090219-3.5

My main issue is that imdb always returns no results. I only mentioned
amazon as a comparison but I not really that concerned about amazon.

If you think that it is because of the suse build then let me know so I can
download your svn. I am very pleased with the new kde4 interface and the new
features of this build and do not wish to go back to the kde 3 version.

Thank you

Re: Questions about pdf file associations

Thanks for your reply.

I fail to fix the problem using kcontrol or something similar in ubuntu 9.04.
Finally, I solve the problem following the hint given in

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1154774
