KDE 4.4: Wake up call for translators!

Hello all,

See, http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-i18n-doc&m=126062268021722&w=2

Please wake up and have bunch of commits (and keep it up!) for getting
your LANG in KDE 4.4.
(This call includes me, so I'm doing it now!)

Last date is: Feb 1, 2010 - but some languages are falling too deep to
have release criteria (2K+ strings)!.

configuring EVDO

Hi

I have a BSNL EVDO 3g modem. I wish to configure it in Fedora 12 using KDE. I tried configuring kppp to detect the modem using
/dev/ttyUSB0 , but it was not able to recognize it.

Has anyone configured it or has pointers in doing so?(using kppp)

For me it worked (5 months back) using KPPP and /dev/ttyUSB0, whats

The error i am getting is while configuring the modem. I select
/dev/ttyUSB0, then select Query Modem to see if there is a response.
It says "unable to open modem"

Looks like a permissions problem.

Does this happen for the root?

Re: configuring EVDO

Well the problem is that now I'm not using EVDO since 6 months so I can't test it now. But, just selecting and trying to connect (without querying) doesn't work? Also, check the system log (using ksystemlog or cat /var/log/messages) to see if it lists /dev/ttyUSB0 . If it does, try pppconfig and see if it works. If /dev/ttyUSB0 isn't displayed in the kernel logs, there is some hardware issue.
