: Next edu meeting. Please answer asap...

Good morning edu crowd

I'm in the process of organizing another meeting and developer sprint in Randa
next year. Somewhere around May or June 2011 but more about the date below.

Last year the bigger group there consisted of Amarok and th multimedia guys
and gals. The smaller group were you. And I'd like to make the small group
constant in this meetings. And the small group consists of you. That means I'd
like to provide you with infrastructure next year again.

BTW: The other, bigger group next year consists of Nepomuk.

I was already in contact with annma about this and she told me that she and
Aleix [*] would like to be near a network (think school network) to work with
them and on this topic. And we were not sure if KDE e.V. would pay for two
meetings (my counter proposal: one meeting somewhere else about the network
topic and one in Randa about data and Nepomuk...).

Anyway annma proposed to bring this topic up here.

What do you think? This discussion is about the offer of the location and
organization? Not necessarily about the topic of the meeting. I just want to
fix the date to reserve the house, contact the cook and start to find
sponsors.

So I'd like to set a first deadline for a decision for the middle of next
week. When there starts no big discussion I'll decide then about the smaller
group of the next Randa meeting (Konquest 2011).

And now two last things:

Ok. If nobody shouts against it I'll write an email to the e.V. board tomorrow
to see if they would sponsor two meetings. Will CC: this list.

If they agree I would invite you to Randa again. And probably the local

Hi List,

I work on KStars for those who don't know. As per my current plan, I
should be able to join without burdening the e.V. much (for funds) if
it is around late May / early June!

An excited Akarsh

: cmake question

Hi,

I am a bit puzzled by the following:
we have "add_custom_target( kvtml_data )" in the CMakeLists.txt of
kdeedu/data/kvtml/
Then in KHangMan CMakeLists.txt I have "add_dependencies(khangman kvtml_data)"
But when I build, if I forget the data, it still builds

What is it supposed to do then?

If I cd khangman/ and do the make here without doing make in the whole kdeedu
dir.
I would have expected then that it goes to data/kvtml and does make here, same
for make install. Is there a way to tell it to do so?

Skolelinux is using KDE Edu. We have different meetings in
Germany and elswhere, and we would be happy to meet you.

Our calender for the German events you find here:

http://wiki.skolelinux.de

We are planning an international meeting in February 2011.
Perhaps you like to join this meeting, so put your name into that
page:

http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEdu/Zweibruecken2011

More info will come soon, please watch that page.

There is another international meeting, perhaps usefull for KDE
Edu, the next RMLL in Strassburg. It will happen

 * samedi 9 et dimanche 10 juillet 2011, les journées grand public.
 * du lundi 11 au jeudi 14 juillet 2011, les conférences et le village associatif.

So general purpose talks are scheduled Satuday and Sunday 9 and 10 July,
and specialized talks are scheduled until Thursday 14 July (national
feast in France)

Hope to see you, let us join forces!
