Hi Liang,

Thanks for your report. You are right: the coordinates in Marble seem to be
wrong.
However I just verified the coordinates you have given. The location you have
given looks like it's actually about ten kilometers away from the actual
center of the city if I look it up in other resources (e.g. Wikipedia). Where
did you get those coordinates?

Regards,
Torsten

Re: [kde-edu]: Marble: a wrong coordinates for Tangshan(China)

Hi, Torsten,

Maybe my previous value is wrong. I just got it from one web of internet.

I just searched Google Earth, the value in it is
<coordinates>118.180199,39.61544000000001,0</coordinates>

And I searched some chinese webpages, it is near the above value:
http://tech.china.com/zh_cn/science/universe/solar/002.html
唐山  	39°.6′ N 	118°.1′ E

http://astro.women.sohu.com/20060517/n226130617.shtml
唐山 	118:09E 	39:37N

I will try to find some official materials for the cities of China.

Regards,
Liang

[kde-edu]: KDE 4.1 Feature plan

Hi Edu devels,

For KDE 4.1 you need to add the features you want to implement on this page
http://techbase.kde.org/Schedules/KDE4/4.1_Feature_Plan

You can also add features you plan for the whole 4.N series, not only 4.1
However features for 4.1 not written here before 31th March will not be
accepted.

There are three templates you should use when editing the wiki:
  {{FeatureDone|project|description|email-address|first-name last-name}}
  {{FeatureInProgress|project|description|email-address|first-name last-name}}
  {{FeatureTodo|project|description|email-address|first-name last-name}}

I added the idea to merge KBruch and KPercentage and the inclusion of Step. Do
not hesitate to add features even if you are not sure you can implement them.

Thanks in advance,

Anne-Marie

Re: [kde-edu]: KDE 4.1 Feature plan

Hello Anne-Marie,

Thanks for the information !

I'm still very busy at University, but I hope that in less than a week I'll
have more free time to work on Step and I'm going to implement everything
missing in order to release Step with 4.1.

[kde-edu]: Translation web sites

Hi List,
since Parley should improve, I'm currently looking for translation web sites,
to allow an option to quickly look up a word that you entered online.
But since my knowledge of usefull translation web pages is limited, I thought,
you'd be able to add to the list.

I need:
name: Beolingus
languages: en-de
url: http://beolingus.org/dings.cgi?query=\{ <at> }
and it has to include a placeholder \{ <at> } where the word has to be filled in.

If possible, it would be nice to also include a link or comment how the data
is protected.
Beolingus for example uses GPL which gives them a big bonus in my opinion.

How, if and when this will become a reality is still in the open.

Ideas and comments appreciated, as always.

Oh, and if you happen to test trunk (KDE 4.1), I also would like to hear
opinions. Not very stable right now, so bug me, to get it into shape ;)

Frederik

why don't you use konqueror's web-shortcuts? they are defined in .desktop
files
