: KDE4 Alpha 1 release - dependencies list needed

Hi,

I am currently building the KDE4 Alpha 1 tarballs and writing a doc to help 
the end user:
http://techbase.kde.org/index.php?title=Getting_Started/Build/KDE4_Alpha_1
and it would be good to have a list of each app dependencies and how to get 
the required version for this dependency.

For example: Kalzium depends on Eigen
-> Eigen website URL
-> minimum version number and usual name from distros if any (the prefered way 
is for users to get dependencies from their distro)
-> link to sources to download if necessary

Eigen:
Minimum version: 1.0.5 (applies to all parts of KDE/KOffice using Eigen).
Source code:     /trunk/kdesupport/eigen/

Just for the record, it is not a real dependency. If Eigen is not found not 
all features will be compiled in. Thats it.

KAlgebra doesn't have any dependencies but Qt.

Are you going to include it in some way?

The point is to make the user aware of where he can found the dependency.
Users will want to get the molecule viewer for ex so we must provide them the 
correct info to do so.

Current output for me from cmake in kdeedu:

[kde-edu]: KTouch dependencies

Hi Anne-Marie,

KTouch only depends on the (former) kdeedu-chart widget that is now in the kdelibs. As long as kdelibs
compiles, KTouch will as well.

PS: When is the first feature freeze deadline exactly? Do we have an internal KDEEDU "check if all works" deadline?

Isn't it 1.0.5, Benoit?

LibFacile and OCaml are needed for the eqautionsolver, nothing else.

Eigen ist needed for the 3D-viewer, so is OpenBabel 2.1

OpenBabel 2.1 is also needed for the chemical file converter

So the solver, the 3d viewer and the file converter are optionally build.
