As I recall, I found two references, in files called makefile.am or
makefile.in : unfortunately, having removed the unpacked files to do a CVS
install, I can't find them at the moment!

The CVS install worked well, using the script on the digikam sourceforge
download page - the only problem is a missing slideshow, which I've posted
about elsewhere.

Missing slide show

I've just completed a build from CVS, using the script on the download page
and the slide show is missing: it was missing before, as well, but I though
the CVS build might solve it! The CVS build did solve my other problem, a
crash on selecting 'auto levels' in the image viewer 'fix' menu).

There is a tools menu option to create an MEG slideshow, but what I want is
the one I had before, which just runs a slideshow from the menu directly.

Any ideas as to what might be wrong?

Re: Missing slide show

Did you activate it in Configuration/Configure digikam .../Kipi Plugins ??

Re: Everything translated in the GUI but still problems

Hi

I am also translating digikam and the plugins to german and I checked if the
problem discussed some days ago still exists. It seems like our translations
in the desktop_ files don't change anything in the desktop files of the
source code. So there's probably a problem with the script that should
generate the correct and updated translations in the cvs source code.

I would be happy if we could figure that out, because like this the
translation in the sections KIPI-Plugins and the list of digikamimageplugins
look ugly and is outdated or untranslated at all.

Thanks for your great work!

Re: Re: Missing slide show

activate opengl in the configure script to enable the slideshow.

Sqlite database backup?

Hi

I'm using Digikam 0.7 and am planning to re-install my distro (mdk
10.1). I want to make sure that all the tagging that I have done of
the images is backed up and restored after reinstall.

What xml files / Sqlite files do I need to take a backup /restore of?
Any other thing to keep in mind during this?

Thanks in advance...cheers!
Balaji

Re: Missing slide show

The CVS script already does that -

Does it need specifying for kdeextragear-3 as well?

Hi,

slide show is in kipi-plugins not in digikamimageplugins.
With --prefix=/usr you should find the plugins in

 /usr/lib/kde3/kipiplugin_slideshow.*
 /usr/share/services/kipiplugin_slideshow.desktop

Make sure that slideshow kipiplugin is enabled in digikam
settings.

If you don't find the files, check configure summary at the end
about opengl. If in doubt check config.log about what's went
wrong.
