[Bug 261773] New: batch renaming does not complete - stuck after it hits mp4 file

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=261773

Summary: batch renaming does not complete - stuck after it hits
                    mp4 file
           Product: digikam
           Version: 1.6.0
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Advanced Rename
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel-RoXCvvDuEio <at> public.gmane.org
        ReportedBy: mhlavink-H+wXaHxf7aLQT0dZR+AlfA <at> public.gmane.org

Version: 1.6.0 (using KDE 4.5.85)
OS: Linux

I've tried to rename all files to [date] format (select all, f2). It was
working for some time until it reported some error related to SAM_0518.mp4 file
(The file or folder /home/mihl/myroot/fotky/pracovni/maly/SAM_0518.MP4 does not
exist.), but file got renamed. Then it renamed next file (SAM_0519.JPG) and
stopped = there is still progress window stuck at 41 % (and SAM_0519.JPG I
guess this is caused by that mp4 file.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
- Add files with mp4 file (somewhere in the middle, not first, not last one)

[Bug 261778] New: RFE: improve {unique} behaviour for coupled files (jpg+raw)

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=261778

Summary: RFE: improve {unique} behaviour for coupled files
                    (jpg+raw)
           Product: digikam
           Version: 1.6.0
          Platform: Fedora RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Advanced Rename
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel@...
        ReportedBy: mhlavink@...

Version: 1.6.0 (using KDE 4.5.90)
OS: Linux

I've tried to batch rename new files from camera. I always rename files to
[date] so it's easy to process them when I put together pictures from more
cameras.

Files are *.jpg+*.cr2 , but sometimes I take more pictures within one second.
But the result is "OK" button is disabled, despite name collisions are handled
quite fine during renaming.

When I use {unique} file.jpg and file.cr2 are always renamed to file.jpg,
file_1.cr2 so I can't use it.

When I do not use {unique}, I'm not allowed to rename files, nor change

Will fix this (the model has changed, the test code is wrong)

[Bug 261743] Duplicate image search to kipi plugin

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=261743

--- Comment #3 from Marcel Wiesweg <marcel wiesweg gmx de> 2011-01-01 16:05:39 ---
You will see that the code is deeply dependent on digikam's database layer.

The current implementation is based on an old predecessor which was closely
modelled after the cited, even older publication. But this would not scale, so
we adjusted the algorithm so that it operates directly on database data.

Does this always happen after the failed loading of the .AVI file I see in the
logs, or is this coincidence?

SVN commit 1210643 by mwiesweg:

Try to strictly avoid requesting more than one thread from the pool.
This seems to be possible with a fast start+stop+start sequence.
