Hi John, this looks like the problem we are having with an Android 2.3 client,
which I described in https://bugzilla.kolabsys.com/show_bug.cgi?id=451
Do you agree?

Me too, I'm looking for a way to reduce the connection rate on the android client
(I suspect that, besides putting load on the server, the insane amount of
repeated parallel connections, could be the cause of duplicate calendar entries)

Unfortunately we already run kolab-zpush 0.7.5 (shipped with kolab 2.3.4) but
the problem still occurs.

Is there a way to see if this mechanism is actually working OK?
e.g. if I turn on the zpush debug.txt will it log some special message?

RE: Re: Re: z-push load problem

hello
Try to see if new process is created when android sync
and if the old one is still running
normaly the backend create a file with the last process number in datasync and it compares his process
number
to the old one , if it is not equal it kills the old one

Every time the client connects a new apache process is created, but it stays at
100% even after the connection is closed.

I've added more details (and attached a copy of debug.txt) in my bug report
https://bugzilla.kolabsys.com/show_bug.cgi?id=451

Kolab OpenPKG build fails on Ubuntu Oneiric

Hi,

the perl package included in the OpenPKG bootstrap doesn't compile out of the
box on Ubuntu Oneiric. Apparently it requires libm to reside in /usr/lib or
it'll decide to not link to it at all. Since Ubuntu (and Debian) implemented
this multiarch stuff you'll now find libm in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu - well
I find it; OpenPKG's perl does not.

Quick workaround:
cd /usr/lib
ln -s x86_64-linux-gnu/libm.a .
ln -s x86_64-linux-gnu/libm.so .

Is this a known issue? I wasn't able to find anything and had to figure this
out the hard way...

	Matthias

OpenPKG bootstrap fails because of broken tar

Hi,

after I worked around the perl issue I still didn't get a useful bootstrap
going. I finally found the error:

+ cd /tmp/openpkg-20071227-root/kolab
+ /tmp/openpkg-20071227-root/kolab/lib/openpkg/tar --no-recursion -cf -
openpkg.tar openpkg.bzip2 openpkg.tar.bz2
*** buffer overflow detected ***: /tmp/openpkg-20071227-
root/kolab/lib/openpkg/tar terminated

How can I make OpenPKG use the system tar?

Authentication Failure

Hi,

I have 2 issues with latest kolab release which I installed recently.

1. ) I am getting following error when kolab try to send emails via relayhost.

SASL authentication failed; server mail.xyz.xx[208.XXX.90.XXX] said: 504 NTLM authentication sequence terminated. It seems relayhost is a windows server !! How can I over come this ?

2.) I need to configure 2 mail domains on single server. The users exists on either of the 2 domains and both have different relay hosts. Could you please let me know how can I do it ?

Regards, Naresh Kumar

Kontact on Windows - Problems with deleting

Hallo!

I use know for a while the actual Kontact Client for Windows without any
bigger problems. Only one thing is a little bit strange:

When i delete an mail, the mail disapear from the mail-folder. But on the next
sync, the mail is putted back in the mail folder. I can delete the mail again
and after the next sync, the mail is back in the folder. Even if i press
the right mouse button or click and drop the mail to move it to the trash, it
´s the same. It will be back every time...
The funny thing is that the mail disappear from the folder and show up in the
trash folder. And after the next sync, the mail ist still in the trash folder
and in the normal folder.

If i move an mail to any other folder, no matter if it´s via right mouse
button or click and drop, the mail is moved without any problems...

The OS is Windows 7 Professional

I've tested this with Version 4.7.1 and it worked as it should. I've deleted a
mail on windows, then synced and it got deleted. And it was also deleted in
my linux client's inbox. So everything ok for me and it's not a general
problem.

Mh then i guess it's no an access right problem, i first suspected that you
don't have write access for your inbox (which would have been strange indeed)

I also use this.

Sorry that i can't help you, you should probably open a bugreport at
bugs.kde.org where we can document more about this issue, maybe some debug
output from debugview.

If you open a bugreport at bugs.kde.org please put me in cc.

Andre
