Horde prefs and upgrade ?

.hmmessage P {margin:0px;padding:0px;} body.hmmessage {font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;} Hello,

I'm currently in Kolab 2.2.2, I will migrate to 2.2.3 but before I want to ask the dev team and others users to know if I will lost all my settings and pref in horde ?
I met this trouble on my last upgrade : 2.2.0 -> 2.2.1 -> 2.2.2.

And another topic on my 2.2.2 I always have a trouble with the spam level in horde (like this issue3027 I think..)
Who have a patch or an idea to solve it ?

Let kontact accept ssl certificate forever

Hi all,

this might be a slightly off-topic question...

I run Kontact on an Ubuntu 9.10 box, using the packaged version 4:4.3.2-0ubuntu6 (btw., is the a newer
"official" deb available?). The Server is Kolab 2.2.3, using a CA certificate issued by "my own" CA. Each
time I try to connect to the server, Kontact nags that the certificate is not trusted, *although* I always
say to trust it forever.

Is there any magic how I can let Kontact *always* accept a certificate, or (better) let Kontact pick up a
specific CA certificate?

Thanks, Albrecht.

The latest version is 4:4.4.2-0ubuntu1~karmic1~ppa1
Whether or not you can call it official is up to you. It's packages by the
Kubuntu people. See http://www.kubuntu.org/news for instructions.

[Bug 162485] KDE 4 SSL Certificate support incomplete
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=162485

There are, however, some workarounds in that bug report, but I haven't tried
them yet.

Z-Push Kolab-Backend: Problems with Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

Hi all,

I have currently a problem when I try to synchronize my calendar and
contacts with a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic via Mail for Exchange (Emails are
not synchronized).
The synchronization stops with the following error message on the phone:

"Systemfehler. Versuchen Sie es später erneut." (System error. Try again
later.)

The log file on the phone has the following entry:

"02.04.2010 11:49:20 Unable to Process Server Response -- KErrCorrupt"

MfE version is 2.09(208)

Connecting to http://my.domain.tld/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync and
https://my.domain.tld/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync with a browser works:
After successful authentication with username <at> my.domain.tld plus
password I get following message:

"GET not supported
This is the z-push location and can only be accessed by Microsoft
ActiveSync-capable devices."

Files are successfully created in kolabindex and state. Log file output
and config files are pasted at the end of this mail.

Is this problem related to Z-Push, the Z-Push Kolab backend or the
software on the phone?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards and happy easter holidays,

Sebastian Albrink

Re: Z-Push Kolab-Backend: Problems with Nokia 5800 XpressMusic

Hi,

try to use syncml with the Nokia. It works well for my E52, which should be
similar to the 5800XM software-wise.
Setup
http://your.horde.server/client/rpc.php
as server,
"contact" as contact-database, "calendar" as calendar-database, "notes" for
notes in the Nokias sync application.
It is possible to use https protocol if you prefer.

Backup your phones data before a first sync...
I have written two patches for horde fixing a few syncml issues, they are
available from issues.kolab.org or in the mailing list archive, allowing to
a) sync multiple calendars and b) making exclusions of recurring events work
better.

Regards
Heiner

Trying to Install Kolab 2.2 or 2.3 on an Amazon EC2 Instance of Ubuntu 10.04

Hi all,

When trying to install Kolab 2.2 or 2.3 on an Amazon EC2 instance of Ubuntu 10.04, I receive the following error:

Any ideas on how I can overcome this challenge?

Thanks for any help you can give.

kolab 2.2.3 installation stops at kolab-webclient

Hello,

I'm trying to install kolab 2.2.3 server and have to face the problem,
that the installation script doesn't run through. When it comes to
install kolab-webclient it stops. I attached the last few lines of the
kolab-install.log at the end of this email. Has anyone an idea what I'm
doing wrong? Since I'm completely new to kolab I hope for help by this
mailing list. Within the installation guide and troubleshooting pages of
the kolab wiki I couldn't find anything about this problem.

I fetched the source files and started the installation script just as
described in the installation guide. First time I did this via sudo, but
the installation stopped. So I tried again this time logged in as root
but got the same error. The script just stops with (for me) no obvious
error message. Is it important that the installation so far took more
than 6 hours instead of the mentioned 3-4 hours?

My machine is a DELL Precision T5500 with two Intel XEON X5560 CPUs, 6GB
RAM and two 1TB hard drives in a hardware controlled Raid 1. An up to
date RedHat EL5 is used as operating system.

I'd be glad about any hint how to get kolab installed.
Thanks for your efforts in advance!

Best regards,
Tobias Volkenandt
