Usually that means it comes with a gratis license,
and that the software is non-free.

Build error: postfix-2.0.10-20030524 on RH9

Hi !

I tried to install the kolab server 1.0 on an Pentium 4 with RedHat 9.
I used the QIM (including the environment variables) to install it.

When reaching the compilation of postfix i got the following errors:

FreeBusy + Usernames

Hi,

With Kolab v 1.0 there are a few problems with Outlook 2000.

1) The freebusy user does not get created in LDAP. The problem being
that with Outlook 2000 and proftpd the template files are still setup to 
use the user with uid=freebusy. I.e. The normal usernames cannot login
to FTP

2) The e-mail usernames cannot be used within the Free/Busy URLs 
within Outlook:

ie. http://myuser <at> domain:password <at> kolabserver/freebusy

does not work - my guess is that Outlook gets confused by the  <at>  in the
username. Any ideas for a workaround?

3) Would it be possible to save Free/Busy time in the format:
user <at> domain.vfb ? Obviously this will have to be supported by KMail 
as well? This will allow us to copy the files between server for "Free/Busy"
replication.

Any suggestions/ideas welcome!

That is probably okay that only "freebusy" can log into ftp, 
ftp is only there for legacy support.
Tassilo also told me that he fixed one bug in that area.

I fixed this on my RH9 system by adding a link to the 'pthread' lib in the spec file (AUXLIBS="$AUXLIBS
-lpthread").

Addressbook Question . . .

I finally got around to getting Kroupware installed on my computer.  It looks 
pretty good considering that it's still in development, but I have a question 
about the address book.  Is it going to be more integrated into KMail in the 
future, like KOrganizer is?

Note that there is no estimated schedule for kontakt 
to be a stable Kolab client so far. 

It depends on the speed of the KDE-pim developers
and everybodys help, because this feature is outside
of the contracted Kroupware project.
