No, you are right :)

I was just searching for more reasons.

Anyway; I don't know how to fix the above mentioned behavior and keep the double
click functionality. The only option I see is to revert it.

Why? Aren't the bugs you mention all fixable by "not opening the frame dialog
upon Ctrl + double-click"? i.e. testing for the modifiers, in that new double-click code.

Hi! 

I added a check for libxml2, that the xslt filter won't be compiled in case 
libxml2 is missing. I have no idea if this also fixes the case when only some 
headers are missing, so I'd be interested in feedback.
