Hicolor versions of mail_new and mail_find

Hi,

I just committed hicolor versions of the mail_new and mail_find icons.
Attached are the corresponding XCF files.

BTW, the 16x16 crystal versions of these icons are still missing. They
are needed for the menus. Or are they created on demand by scaling the
22x22 version or from the SVGs?

Regards,
Ingo

(no subject)

i am in an idea of art class at Mississippi state university and my professor has proposed us with a very interesting assignment.  He split us up into two groups the yes group and the no groups.  He asked us this question  Do you have to be aware that you are making art in order to be an artist?  THen he put us in the yes group or the no group, whether that was what we wanted to be in or no.  In four days we will havve a debate and which ever side puts up the best argument passes and who ever doesnt fails.  He told us to do research and get opinions, so anything interesting you may have would be very helpful.  by the way im in the yes group but you can argue which ever side you agree with, either way it would help me out.

Please write me back with you opinion or suggestions,
thank you,

Missing tab icons

Hello,

I was tired of broken tab icons in KDE cvs, so I made some for the
tab_breakoff and tab_duplicate actions. They are located here as png and
xcf files (high-color I suppose; I'm no artist):

 http://www.brentandtiffany.org/tab_icons/

A shot of them in context is here:
 http://www.brentandtiffany.org/tab_icons/tab_icons.png

Please use them if you wish, or a variation.

Thanks,
  Brent

More Info

I would like more info about creating themes. I spend a lot of time looking
for nice themes to decorate my desktop and have always wondered about bieng
able to create my own. What tools would I need and how difficult is it? I
am fairly new to RedHat but experienced in Windows (not in theme making,
though).

Re: i18n.kde.org logo request

         Dear friends,

I see that after almost 3 weeks no KDE
graphics developer don't bother to help
the i18n.kde.org web server and make
a logo and *even* reply.
Sorry to ask, but isn't just simple
to reply and just say: I don't want to
make it?

For me this is not about "not wanting" to make it but it's just that I
don't have time to do it (might change within the next week or so). Is
there anybody else out there who could take care about it?

Re: i18n.kde.org logo request

I've starting working on some samples.

I will probably bundle several options as well as the
core elements used, so that people can use similar
graphics in the future if they like the work, or can
salvage some graphics for further work in the likely
event the work isn't used.

NOTE: I am using the exact pixel dimensions of the
original as a baseline.

KDE.org pages

Hi,
after we now got a very "modern" style & artwork for the kde 3.1 release,
wouldn't it be a good idea to redesign our webpages to match to the new style
of kde ? They haven't changed since years and look more and more outdated
(from point of style) in contrast our software style.
We could for example post a "design contest" for the kde.org homepage on
dot.kde.org or on the mailinglists. Or we perhaps have even some volunteers
;)

Re: KDE.org pages

Oh God yes, this was something I tried to get the KDE League to do this as
I thought it was the most visible face for KDE and the sites just were
rather on the bland side, but no one would listen.

Re: Re: KDE.org pages

Count me as a resource if people decide to revamp the
various KDE sites.
