Konqueror do not has this menu anymore. And the icon looks out of date.

[kde-artists] New start sound - Discussion.

Greetings to all.

I worked in a start sound for KDE, and I have a preliminar version here.

I tried to keep it close to Oxygen, while introducing motion patterns and making the melody line more complex, to show progress. KDE has made an enormous progress between 4.0 and 4.10, and we must show that progress through our sound theme, too.

Of course, since this is a FOSS project, I'll publish my sources in open formats (in this case, a MIDI file) on request, and the definite license of this will depend on KDE's needs. Since I'm the sole author of this, I can relicense this in any way I want.

Please, comment.

Kwin is under active development for QML and wayland. Because of it, the theme
api changes and will change in the future. Those third party theme should be
adapt to new api.

[kde-artists] ideas needed for the outreach program for women

Heya folks :)

We have no ideas for promo or artwork for the outreach program for
women? Come on this is your chance to have someone do something
awesome for promo or artwork for 3 month - paid! Depending on the idea
I might even be willing to co-mentor.

The nice thing about this program is that during the application
period they need to do a small contribution so you can see if you're
willing to work with that particular person.

are not enough non-coding ideas.

[kde-artists] kde-telepathy plasma based air-like icon for systemarea

since the latest version of the kde-telepathy release supports plasma themed 
icons in the systemtray it would be cool to have one in the default plasma 
theme "air". (because the full colored is ugly if its the only one)

so i attach one file that will work and is in the style of air.. feel free to 
edit and copy as you want. but i hope we get a shiny air-like icon 
(desktoptheme/default/icons/) in future releases :)

When compositing is disabled, the default Plasma theme (Air) looks like this on
my system:

That makes the icons at the bottom right as well as the clock very hard to
read. Actually I thought this is a bug and Plasma would use the wrong
background. However, I was told it is actually not a bug in Plasma but intended
by the theme.
Please fix the contrast between the icons and the clock - in its current state,
the theme is not really usable.

This bug is too old. Old kde is not maintained anymore. oxygen icons looks fine
to me. Anyway, if you feel there still exist problem after so many years, feel
free to open a bug for newer icon.
