jxls: iterating over array?

Hello,

is here any way to iterate an array? My bean just has int[] variable and I want to write its values. I can't use forEach tag, cause it works only with collections. Also I don't see any tag for simple iteration (say from 1 to n) which would also help (then I can use jexl to access array element by its index. Should I write my own tag for it, or something is missed by me?

thank you,
Max

Can anyone help me to solve this issue?

[JXLS] CellParser Can't find matching tag pair for

Hi there,

Currently the template as found in attachment reports the following error.

"ERROR [CellParser] Can't find matching tag pair for <jx:forEach items="${dto.detailDTOs}" var="detailDTO">"

As a result, the outcome is as shown in output-error.xls (last record / row)

However, when i generate a single record for the same employee, it is fine. (Refer to output-ok.xls).

May i know what is the root cause for the following issue, and how i could rectify the above issue?

Thanks

Vertical rows

Hi,

Is it possible to generate a xls starting from a template
in which the rows are displayed vertically and not horizontally?

Instead of:
Name        |Age           |Payment     |Bonus
Elsa           |28              |100             |100
Ene            |30              |200             |100

it should look like this:

Name         |  Elsa  |   Ene
Age            |   28     |   30
Payment    |  100    |   200
Bonus        |   100   |   100

Thanks a lot,

Conditional Formatting?

Hi,

I want to ask a question. Please give me some clue... :).
Is it possible to use conditional formatting with jxls?

Let's say I have this 2 column template:

    A                       B
<jx:forEach items="${rowList}" var="row">
${row.someIntValue}   ${row.booleanValue}
</jx:forEach>

I want to fill column A cells with red background, whenever column B have TRUE value.
How to accomplish this using jxls?

I was trying to use Excel Conditional Formatting, but it looks like Conditional Formatting can't work or can't be automatically copy to all rows of "${rowList}".

Thanks in advance..

Best regards,
Yohan Yudanara

     private List<DetailDTO> tuesdayDTOs = new ArrayList<DetailDTO>;
     private List<DetailDTO> wednesdayDTOs = new ArrayList<DetailDTO>;
     private List<DetailDTO> thursdayDTOs = new ArrayList<DetailDTO>;
     private List<DetailDTO> fridayDTOs = new ArrayList<DetailDTO>;
     private List<DetailDTO> saturdayDTOs = new ArrayList<DetailDTO>;
     private List<DetailDTO> sundayDTOs = new ArrayList<DetailDTO>;

Multiple worksheets

Hi,

I tried to generate a xls with multiple worksheets using: transformer.transformMultipleSheetsList(),
but I received a RuntimeException and I can't tell what is the problem.
I am using the example from :http://jxls.sourceforge.net/reference/dynamicsheets.html.
Am I missing something here?

Jxls Syntax

Good Day Everyone,

I seem to be stuck here..

Can I use column names that have $ # - and spaces that I retreived from my database (MySQL) ? I am getting parse errors.

And suppose I want to add all the price in the row that have the classification of "friend" in relationship column? what would be the syntax?

thanks! and God bless!!

Performance going downhill

Hi Leo. I've been using jxls for many years now and have noticed a huge decrease in performance over the
years. I have a fairly large dataset that I've tried with 0.9.3, 0.9.7 and 1.0-rc2. The times are:

0.9.3: 28 minutes
0.9.7: 1 hour
1.0-rc2: 4 hours

I've been profiling the code for a few days and was able to improve the 1.0-rc2 time by 2.5X (1 hour 45
minutes). However, I don't know what 0.9.3 was doing differently to be so fast. A lot of time is spent
updating formulas after every transformation and with over 12,000 formulas and rising, this takes a long time.

Any info and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

Curtis

PS - any work on new versions lately?
