Deploying to TomCat 6.x (remote)

I created an Java/Web/JSF application in NB 6.5 (windows) using JSF (Woodstock components i know it's belly-up) which accesses an remote Oracle 10g installation. Everything works great under local GFU2R2 installation.
I need to deploy the application w/the appropriate JSF libraries/jar files to a remote installation of TomCat 6.x
I need to include the JSF lib/jar files within the war file as they do not exist in the tomcat installation.
Questions:
Which lib/jar files should I include?
How do I include them so that they will be packaged inside the war file?
Is there any other ??/lib/jar files I need to include?? If so, how to include them??
Thanks

Swing+How to use generated NetBeans ProgressBar code

Your first suggestion worked, but without the progressbar running.

The second suggestion worked perfect!

Problem solved!

Thanks!

proxy server setting

I use NB 6.5.1 and Glassfish 2.1. I tried to set up proxy server host and port in the Glassfish admin console.
It saved it ok and I checked the domain.xml in Glassfish's config folder and the JVM options are there. But
when I restart the Glassfish in NB, the domain.xml file got overwriten and the JVM options I added for the
proxy disappeared.

If I did the same outside NB, the Glassfish JVM options remains and work. My programs can access the internet
via the proxy. In otherwords, this problem only happens when Glassfish is started from NB. Anybody know
how I can make my JVM options work?

Hi,
try to download the new version, 6.5.1. Some modules have problems to update, probably installing a new version could solve your problem. These version is mostly patch 1+2+3. I hope it works.

I no longer install updates when prompted by the update globe icon. The last time I did that, there were issues for which I feel the same as you -- I don't have the time. At that time I had posted on the forum, but was unable to resolve the issue, so I also reinstalled everything.

Folks,

I recently installed 24 updates to NB6.5, by clicking the updates globe icon in the bottom right corner of the IDE.

Installs apparently installed ok, but when the IDE restarted, I got errors followed by x module disabled along with nn others (apologies didn’t take any further notes).

I then attempted to manually activate those plugins, without success, then uninstall from Add/Remove programs and reinstall plugins, but again when IDE restarted got the same errors.

I have resorted back to a reinstall of initial NB 6.5 distribution released in December (incidently uninstall did not remove the install directory and its subdirectories, so removed manually).

I had a similar experience several months ago.

My IDE is now working again but it has left me paranoid about installing future updates. Has anybody else experienced similar woes? Are there any issues logged? Is there some systemic problem at Sun re QA of updates?

The only other factor that may have contributed was that for boot performance of the IDE I had deactivated/uninstalled some plugins that I wasn’t using (e.g. Ruby etc). Could this have confused the update installer?

Regards

Nick

Avoid reopening projects at startup

Hi,

how can I stop getting projects automatically reopened when I start NetBeans? Most of the times I need to
close them and open other ones, not to mention when I want to use it just to browse a database or view/edit
spare files.
