gridsphere-dev mail list migration

Hi,

  I just want to let everyone know that Mailman is now setup on our
server gridsphere.org and I plan to automatically migrate all our
existing users to the new list ASAP. You should receive two notices, one
that you are unsubscribed from this list and another welcoming you to
the new list-- gridsphere-dev <at> gridsphere.org. You can reach it directly
at http://lists.gridsphere.org

   Thanks, Jason

Need help

Hi, Jason, Oliver and others:

I am currently using Gridsphere to build a virtual collaborative portal. In my system, I need to create new dynamically. At the moment, I can use your following codes to build new Tab in the display:

……

pane = layoutMgr.createUserTabbedPane(req, 1, tabName);

pane.setLayoutDescriptor(vroomLayoutFile);

PortletTab tab = pane.getLastPortletTab();

PortletPage page = layoutMgr.getPortletPage(req);

PortletTabbedPane mypane = page.getPortletTabbedPane();

if(tab != null)

mypane.addTab(tab);

layoutMgr.reloadPage(req);

……

My question is how can I set or change the layout of the new Tab in program. I actually want to display my portlet views in this Tab.

It will be very appreciative if you can reply.

Best regards,

Alan

By the way, if you need payment before you will reply, please let me know.

repository and check out the code from
https://svn.gridsphere.org/gridportlets/

Help with developing a custom portal (using grid portlets)

Hi there,

I am new to grid sphere and grid portlets. I just
installed the latest version of GridSphere-2.2.2 and
of GridPortlets-1.3.2. I managed to make the basic
'Hello World' example work. Now I would like to
develop my first custom portlet using gridportlets. I
tried to follow the steps described in:

http://www.codecomments.com/archive411-2005-5-512549.html

I could deploy successfully my portlet but when I
loggin into gridsphere (after restarting Tomcat), for
some reason, I do not see my custom portlet. Probably,
something is wrong with my configuration files,
specially that I am using the latest versions where
maybe things need to be configured in another manner.

Just as Matt Listas says in his message
(https://www.gridlab.org/pipermail/gridportlets-dev/2006-July/000003.html),
 I would need some sort of kick start telling me how
to construct my first project to have my own portlet
that can access the grid (making use of gridportlets).
I also have not found this so far (I have already read
gridportlets admin, developers and users guide).

I would appreciate if you can tell me how I can do
that or redirect me to other sources info that could
answer my question.

In advance, thank you.
regards,
wy

jar-generation restrict to */portlets and */services?

Hi all,

I add some wsdl2java-generated files to projects/project/src
Compiling is ok, but only the project.jar and project-services.jar are
created. My other files were compiled, but not deployed to Tomcat.

Is it possible to add my web service files to the project.jar (or is
there an other way to use them?)
GS-Version 2.1.5.

With kind regards,
Benny

www.gridsphere.org Server Error

The public site, http://www.gridsphere.org seems to be down right now. Just FYI…

Anyone know about alternative sources for documentation if the site stays down for a while? Are they in svn/cvs?

Thanks in advance….

Gridsphere Portal LDAP Authentication

Hi,

I need to integrate the portal login mechanism with our existing LDAP server instead of using some other new Database (Gridsphere uses), basically I need to use our existing LDAP authentication mechanism. Could you please let me know how to proceed, I couldn’t find any document.

Thanks,

Senthil

    I encourage you to have a look at it and even provide any feedback
that would be useful, and I would be happy to share it with the expert

    Cheers, Jason
