Is this a Bug in Slide

Dear all,
I put a file with put request with the name "Bitmap.bmp". It successfully
put in the slide. After this i run the Propfind request for a file named
"bitmap.bmp" (PLZ see the lowercase difference), the slide gives the
response that it not found the object, Ok All the things are right. But now
when i want to run Put request for the file named "bitmap.bmp" then it gives
exceptions and Internal Server Error.

Any body has an idea.

Thanks...

Dreamweaver 8 Shows folders as files...

Has anyone successfully used Dreamweaver 8 with slide?

Specifically using the "Remote View" to mange files. when users connect,
all folders are shown as files. Any other way of connecting to slide seems
to work as expected, including Dreamweaver 2004.

I've tested this on a clean default install of slide and I get the same
results.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Jeff

Eclipse 3.2 WebDAV support

Hi,

Does anyone know why I can't save my files back to SLIDE from Eclipse?

I
can open a file (File->Open File) by pointing to the webfolder that
I created on My Network Places. But I am not able to save the file
back.

Is there any plugin that I need to install in order to achieve this.

I am currently using Eclipse 3.2 and Slide 2.2pre1

Thanks in advanced,

Zeus

Too many files open

Hello,

I just discover a problem. An error occurs for the first time : “too many
files open”. It seems to be a socket that is not closed correctly.

Does anybody know this error ?

Thank you,

Claire

Re: Is this a Bug in Slide

Dear Aslam,

Check out if you have an entry for bmp filetype in your web.xml.

You need to have an entry like
<mime-mapping>
        <extension>bmp</extension>
        <mime-type>image/bmp</mime-type>
</mime-mapping>

After adding the above entry your pbm shd get resolved.

Cheers,
Boyz

Re: Is this a Bug in Slide

Hi Boyzz,
I don't think it is related to extension. Because i have tried it with different extensions . Try this:-

Put a file named "ABC.txt" in slide by using DAVExplorer
Again put a file named "abc.txt" in the same locatio by using DAVExplorer. It will give internal server error.

Thanks...

Re: Eclipse 3.2 WebDAV support

Eclipse doesn't really play nice with Network Places...

There IS a WebDAV/FTP plugin for Eclipse but it is really buggy and isn't
being actively developed (though they'll jump to tell you that they'll
accept patches for it)
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=91251
If you had time to look at that I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate
it.

If you really want it to work with Eclipse you're probably going to have to
go the drive-mapping route:

Re: Dreamweaver 8 Shows folders as files...

I have only ever had the reverse problem (files as folders) which is
actually a problem that makes some sense considering the way that slide
handles these types of things. Your problem is very weird, and most likely
related only to dreamweaver and there is probably nothing you can do about
it. I use goliath on mac os x, and it always shows a folder with the same
name as the parent inside every folder, a problem very specific to goliath
with no apparent reason (examining the network traffic showed very clearly
that slide was operating correctly and the goliath UI was simply mistaken).
This error produced funny things:

files:
  -files
  -data
  -otherstuff
    -otherstuff
    -thing
    -thong
  -test
    -test
       -test
         -test
         -lala
       -lala
    -lala
