Apache Jakarta Turbine Stratum 1.0 released

The Turbine team of the Jakarta Project of the ASF is happy to announce
the release of Turbine Stratum 1.0.

In a daring act of software paleontology we finally did a release of the
long standing Turbine 2.3.x component layer called "Stratum". This
release is intended as a closure to replace all the alpha and beta
versions floating around.

If you are working with Turbine 2.3.x and use currently a beta version
of Stratum, you are urged to upgrade to this release version.

Future versions of Turbine will use the Excalibur/Avalon component
infrastructure. Currently there is no further development beyond the 1.0
version planned.

Stratum is available from the Apache Mirror System through the Turbine
download pages at

Apache Jakarta Commons Email 1.0 released

The Commons Email team of the Jakarta Project of the ASF is happy to
announce the release of Commons Email 1.0.

Jakarta Commons Email provides an API for sending email. It is built on
top of the Java Mail API, which it aims to simplify.

While this is the first official release for Commons Email, the code
itself has been available through the commons sandbox and the commons
proper for a very long time and is considered mature and stable by the
developers.

Commons Email is available as source and binary from the Apache Mirror
System through its download page at 

http://jakarta.apache.org/site/downloads/downloads_commons-email.cgi

It will also be available from the Apache Maven repository at
http://www.apache.org/dist/java-repository/ and the Maven main
repository at http://www.ibiblio.org/maven/.
