Birthday field in LDAP

Hello,

I included mozillaAbObsoletePerson as schema for my OpenLDAP server and
added in config/sources.php

'birthday' => 'mozillaCustom2'

just to see whether it works or not. The problem is the birthday is
stored in the mozillaCustom2 property (I see it using a LDAP browser)
but it does not show up again in Turba when showing a contact card.

The LDAP browser shows

# slapcat | grep custom2
custom2: 1907-03-04 00:00:00

Any idea?

What doesn't show up? The correct date, or the complete birthday field?

Mozilla schema: info not shown in Thunderbird

Another problem I have is that my mozillaAbObsoletePerson LDAP schema
available at

http://perseguers.no-ip.com/wiki/images/4/4c/Mozillaabpersonobsolete.schema

does store fields such home postal code within Mozilla's fields
mozillaHomePostalCode as when I type these information in Thunderbird
and export the result as a LDIF file.

However Turba has no problem read these properties but Thunderbird does
not want to show them!

The only difference I see between Turba's LDIF data and Mozilla's one is
the modifytimestamp attribute for Mozilla and the DN attribute which
does only contain the cn attribute (concatenated with mail if present)
and in Turba I have my full DN with lots of ou, dc!

Any similar problem already solved by one of you?

I found the error while debugging the code! I included line

'birthday' => 'mozillaCustom2'

but ldap was returning field 'custom2' instead of 'mozillaCustom2' as
the schema had an alias. I changed

'birthday' => 'custom2'

and now it just works fine!

This one has been committed already, thanks.

There exists a ticket for this issue on bugs.horde.org. Please upload
your patch there.

He shouldn't even be able to do so. Please file a report and steps to
reproduce this on bugs.horde.org if you didn't already.

Browsing problem with long customer list

Hi!

I successfully imported some 12,000 contacts to turba database.

Now, browsing is not operational. The CPU use of the server hits 99.8%
just after pressing Browse button and stays there for quite a long time,
then the process just quits.

Is there anything we can do to make the browsing operational with an
acceptable speed, or a list of 12,000 contacts is just too much?

Server configuration: Fedora Core2, php-4.3.10, httpd-2.0.51,
mysql-3.23.58, Horde CVS, Turba CVS.

Thanks,
Mufit Eribol

It *is* too much to be displayed in the browse view. Set 'export' to
false in your source configuration.
