funambol outlook plugin 6.0.9 : Unsupported Content-Type: text/x-s4j-sifc

Hi,

I'm trying to sync Outlook with Horde's latest CVS and the funambol
outlook plugin 6.0.9. Unfortunately, nothing (contact, calendar...) gets
synced.

I'm using the contact recover option of the Funambol plugin. The plugin
is suppose to replace all of the outlook data with the data from the
server.

Thanks for the help,
Ronan.

here are some of the logs. :

Re: funambol outlook plugin 6.0.9 : Unsupported Content-Type: text/x-s4j-sifc

I've tried syncing a Pocket PC using the funambol windows mobile plugin
6.0.13 and I get the same errors :

Unsupported Content-Type: text/x-s4j-sifc

It seems that the new version of the Funambol plugins don't work no
more. Anyone with the same error ?

Ronan.

Re: funambol outlook plugin 6.0.9 : Unsupported Content-Type: text/x-s4j-sifc

Hi,

the auto-detection of the Sync4j/Funambol plugins didn't detect the
6.0.9 plugin correctly.

This results in
 >> DEBUG: using default device class
where
"DEBUG: created device class sync4J" should be.

Try what I just committed. This should detect the plugin correctly.

Cheers,
  Karsten

Re: Funambol 6.0.13 sync failed with Horde SyncML module

Hi,

I tried the funambol outlook connector 6.0.9 beta with Horde.

It seems the trouble comes from the gzip compression: The connector asks
for it and so Horde delivers it. But the connector seems to choke on the
compressed data.

The funambol logs produce something like:

14:51:45 GMT +1:00 [DEBUG] - Reading response...
14:51:45 GMT +1:00 [DEBUG] - Content-length: 533
14:51:45 GMT +1:00 [DEBUG] - Receiving data of size 533...
14:51:45 GMT +1:00 [DEBUG] - Finished receiving data of size 533.
14:51:45 GMT +1:00 [DEBUG] - Response read:

Cu)+BסE̒؆z5펽{c/-xqgw>gRaDjk+ߟ
MƉ"Û7pxhh*1ЊT[*0x
˺_Ǹ̞a(#)5hX^EwBw

As a workaround you can turn of the gzip compression in the horde setup:

$conf['compress_pages'] = false; (in horde/conf.php)

This seems to be a bug in the Funambol connector.

But I found a glitch in Horde as well: I tried to create a "Browser
Quirk" so that
if $browser->hasQuirk('buggy_compression') returns true in Horde.php.
But the function Horde::allowOutputCompression() seems to be never

Unable to sync

I'm currently running the newest Synthesis on my Cingular 8125 phone,
with the latest horde-cvs release. It seems to be authenticating fine,
and defaulting to Slow since it hasn't been synced before; but then it
fails when it starts to try and actually sync the data. I think I've
tracked the issue down to "[10-May-2007 20:46:26] PHP Fatal error: Call
to a member function createSyncOutput() on a non-object in
/usr/share/php/SyncML/Command/Sync.php on line 75" which coincides with
the time that it fails the sync. Below I've also included the debug
output from horde.log; and I have /tmp/sync/ logs if anyone would like
to look at those also. I did notice that the "No sync object found for
URI = calendar" line changes to events, calendar, contacts, etc.
depending on which item I'm trying to sync; which leads me to believe
that the PHP error is the only thing blocking the process from
completing correctly. Anyone have any suggestions?

I do know that horde itself, minus the SyncML stuff, is setup and
working fine; as I've had it installed and working for all my PIM stuff
for a while now.  I'm just trying to get it synced up with my new phone;
so I can have the data there also, especially all my contacts.

Thanks,
Kelly Shutt

What works, what doesn't with SyncML?

have just installed and setup Horde version Mnemo H3 (2.2-cvs). I am trying to get the wireless syncML stuff
working but I am not having much luck. This is my environment.

Re: What works, what doesn't with SyncML?

Hi,

Funambol and Synthesis schould both work. Can you try something
different than Mnemo? Maybe Tasks (using Nag).

Is there a /tmp/sync/syncml_log.txt and what does it say?

Cheers,
  Karsten
