Does this only happen with the reminders script? Do you have
permission to read the configuration file with the user that runs the
script?

Kronolith logs to Horde's log file if it tries to send reminder email
and whether it succeeded if your log level is high enough. If it
doesn't, there simply are no alarms, or only recurring events with
alarms that don't work atm.

Re: Fatal error in reminders.php

Jan, thanks very much for your response.

I can't believe I didn't try running the script as root before. When I
do that the script runs without any errors. However, I'm not actually
getting any reminder e-mails. I don't see any errors or other
information in the horde.log file. I didn't see any documentation about
the "Reminder Settings" in the Calendar (kronolith) setup. Are both the
server name and e-mail address fields arbitrary? Is there any way I can
debug to see if the reminders.php is attempting to send any e-mails?

Thanks again,
Andy Webber

events are not shown

Hi!

I have the problem that the default calendar of a user is not
shown.

I'm using HEAD-2006-01-08.

When the user adds an event it is actually added to the mysql
database, but not shown in the Webfrontend. I figured out, this
is due to the following default preference setting from
config/prefs.php:
---------------
$_prefs['display_cals'] = array(
    'value' => 'a:0:{}',
    'locked' => false,
    'shared' => false,
    'type' => 'implicit'
);
---------------

I would have thought that this gets overwritten by setting
the default calendar. But that doesn't change the
"display_cals" preference in the database:

---------------
mysql> SELECT * from horde_prefs WHERE pref_uid="foo" AND
pref_scope="kronolith";
+----------+------------+---------------------+------------+
| pref_uid | pref_scope | pref_name           | pref_value |
+----------+------------+---------------------+------------+

Don't report problems against months-old CVS code.

Sorry, should have thought about that. It apparently works with today's
snapshots.

thanks,

Calendering

Hi All,

I have installed the following components of Horde:

Turba H3 (2.0.5)
Kronolith H3 (2.06)
Horde 3.08
Imp H3 (4.0.4)

Most work fine if a little slow but I am unable to schedule calender
events. When I add an event it will not show up in my calender. When I
invite another attendee it will not show up in there calender

As this is probable a config error any help in resolving this would be
appreciated

Thanks

Will Halsall

Kronolith H3 (2.1) (final)

The Horde Team is pleased to announce the final release of the Kronolith
Calendar Application version H3 (2.1).

Kronolith is the Horde calendar application. It provides web-based
calendars backed by a SQL database or a Kolab server. Supported
features include shared calendars, remote calendars, meeting
management, alarms, recurring events, and a sophisticated day/week
view which handles arbitrary numbers of overlapping events.

Major changes compared to the Kronolith H3 (2.1-RC3) version are:
    * Added guards against not being able to select displayed calendars.

Major changes compared to the Kronolith H3 (2.0) versions are:
    * Year view.
    * Email notifications when events have been added or changed.
    * Show current alarms in sidebar menu.
    * Event status of "Free".
    * Subscription support for calendar clients like iCal or Sunbird.
    * Allow to freely set event years.
    * Support meeting planning with clients without iTip/iCalendar support.
    * Improved side-by-side views for multiple calendars.
    * Improved accessibility.
    * Improved attendees interface.
    * New translation: Portuguese.
    * Compatible with PHP 5.1.
    * Several Kolab related fixes.
    * Deprecated MCAL driver.
    * Permissions to restrict number of events.
    * Simplified free/busy URLs.
