If this is not a part of the stock CKEditor distribution, you need to
add the local files to the ckeditor script in horde-support. Ckeditor
updates are now entirely automated and this code will be lost again
the next time we update.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the heads up. Will do.

Dashboard and anchoring the apps in Horde4

Hi!

I recently created a demo server setup for the current Horde4 version
which will hopefully also go online as demo.horde.org soon. Looking at
the full groupware stack in action as available from our current git
checkout raises a few questions concerning the current user interface.

My main source of confusion: What could or should be the anchoring
point for the different applications within Horde4?

If I look at our groupware bundle then I would say that the intial
"Dashboard" or "Portal" should be provided by the "horde" base
application and "horde" should also provide the framework that allows
switching between applications and accessing generic functionality.

Right now both dynamic imp and kronolith seem to be able to provide
the same anchoring functionality by displaying other apps in their
viewport - at least concerning the static apps.

Both apps are unable to display each other in their viewport though
and resort to a full switch of the application in case you select
"Imp" from within "Kronolith" and vice versa. Do we really intend to
allow both Imp and Kronolith to be "the" base application for a Horde
installation?

With the capabilities of the "horde" application added to the mix it
is currently easy to generate a setup that behaves totally weird when
it comes to switching applications.

Do we already have a set of ideas on how to tackle this specific

Yup, that does it. Thanks :)

ActiveSync

Hi all,

  I'm currently playing with ActiveSync, and I've managed to 'add' my device
(iPad), but I have a couple questions/problems.

  1. The device shows up as 'not privisioned' - what does that mean?
  2.  When I try and bring up mail, I always get 'Cannot connect to
server'.  My backend IMAP server is Dovecot, using Maildir.
  namespace {
    inbox = yes
    location =
    prefix = INBOX.
    separator = .
    type = private
  }

  3. I can't seem to get the Addressbook to sync.  On my account, Horde
seems to find 73 entries, then loops indefinitely and I can't see anyone on
the iPad (localsql).  Likely not unrelated, I also am having issues with
turba in general.  I don't believe I have any major diff between the
default settings - localsql 'just works'.  I can't make any changes in
Turba Preferences, even on a brand-new account.  Otherwise everything
appears fine.
  Oddity - when I modify the conf.php for Turba via the web UI, the default
addressbook has my name in it. :/

  4.  Calendar seems to work!  :)

  I did have issues getting the alias to work in lighttpd -

Provisioning is the process that security policy settings are
communicated/enforced on the device. Things like e.g, requiring a
lock-screen/maximum login attempts/remote device wipe requests, all
require the device to be provisioned. Some devices support
provisioning, some do not. The iPad/iPhone/iPod should support this,
though you have to enable support for provisioning on the server. See
the ActiveSync configuration tab in Horde, and read
http://wiki.horde.org/ActiveSync as well.

Horde's ActiveSync implementation does not include mail support at
this time. You should use the device's email application.

id and UID

Hello:

I've noticed many horde apps (nag, mnemo, turba etc.) have id and uid
fileds in their database schema.

I'm trying to develop an in-house module and I'm trying to follow horde
apps style and good practices so maybe my app could be added to horde in
the future.

I'd like to understand why there's a need for both id and uid fields,
since at first glance (at least for a beginner) the id field already
seems pretty unique. Any pointers would help.

Thanks a lot.
