Provide compressed versions of files/directories on a given tag, for downloading

Dear Sir

I refer to your TODO list revision 1.5.10.1 dated 2008-10-09.
There is a todo item "Provide compressed versions of files/directories on a
given tag, for downloading".

This downloading feature would be awesome.
It is probably quite difficult to implement this since the server would have
to do a svn-checkout first
to make the folder/file available for downloading.
But if you could do it, Chora would be the almost perfect SVN browser tool
(which could then be used as a File Manager --- if there is commit
capability as well).

Are you still working on this todo item?

In your roadmap for version 3, you also mentioned "Checkin Support".
Does that mean svn commit to a repo? That would be cool.
But I wonder how it can be done.

Thank you

cmgui

Noone's actively working on that at the moment.

Server certificate verification fails

Hi there,
I have a secured connection to my repository with a self signed server
certificate. But that gives me an error in Cora saying "PROPFIND of
'/fb_support_web': Server certificate verification failed: issuer is not
trusted"
Any idea how I can bypass this check?

Greets

Chuck,

Thanks for your answer.

I've got some errors configuring the permissions to guest user.

I reinstalled from scratch (omitting the db install*) to be sure, but
errors on permissions persist.
After "Permissions > Add New Permission -> Version Control (chora) ->
Add -> Guest -> Add show+read -> "Update"
The following error appears:

> (ok_icon) Updated "Horde ()".
> (error_icon) Attempt to edit a non-existent permission.

*) Is the DB backend mandatory?
We use only chora and our policy don't allow's me to install a mysql
service, so i omitted point 6 at
http://www.horde.org/horde/docs/?f=INSTALL.html#quick-install )

Cheers,
Marc

Nothing in either of those files. You have to grant guest access to
Chora in Horde -> Administration -> Permissions.

removing Login/Menu

Hi folks!

i finally (!) upgraded our chora web interface to the last release (Horde 3.2.1 / Chora H3 2.0.2).
The repository browsing works fine and the graphical layout is beautifull!

My problem is the configuration:
I would-like access directly to the browser (/horde/chora/cvs.php) skipping the login screen and hiding
the horde menu (exactly like the demo on http://cvs.horde.org/).

Question1: which settings have i to configure in horde/config/config.php,
/horde/chora/config/config.php to make it run like your demo?

Question2: someone using the "weblog" function on tortoisecvs? is the filepath still the same (aka
http://server/path/cvs.php )?
because on our server its not working correctly, but maybe connected to the misconfiguration (see
question 1).

Thank's for your time/answer's & have a funny day!

Marc

enscript highlighting under windows

Hi again,

After enjoying Chora on windows with subversion I am now trying to get syntax
highlighting working.
It seems to work natively with php, but as we work with other formats I realised
it would be more flexible to configure chora for enscript.

I installed enscript from gnuwin32 in my c:\gnuwin32\ folder and it seems to
work fine when i call it fdrom the command line as follows:

C:\gnuwin32\bin\enscript --color --language=html --pretty-print -o -
c:\testClass.java

This returns me a lovely html formatted version code.

Now the problem is that chora does not pick enscript up properly.

I configured by editing mime_drivers.php.

Basically i changed 2 thing:

First, I added 'enscript' as follows:
$mime_drivers_map['horde']['registered'] = array(
'css', 'enriched', 'html', 'images', 'ooo', 'pdf', 'php', 'plain', 'rar',
'report', 'rfc822', 'richtext', 'security', 'simple', 'tgz', 'tnef',
    'vcard', 'zip',
    'enscript',
);

This part seems to work as the icons in chora are now displayed depending on the
mime/extension type (c, h, java, xml...).

And the problem happens when I have to edit the path to the enscript exec...

I have no idea what format the path should be in (I guess it should use fwd
slashes) and whatever I try doesnt work, although in different ways.

For instance with
$mime_drivers['horde']['enscript']['location'] = 'C:/gnuwin32/bin/enscript';

When I try to access the code, I get a line in the browser which says:
The program used to view this data type (C:/gnuwin32/bin/enscript) was not found
on the system.

However when I add the .exe as follows:
$mime_drivers['horde']['enscript']['location'] = 'C:/gnuwin32/bin/enscript.exe';

Then I get an empty framed numbered line in the browser (with nothing else)

I have not messed with the mime types or anything else yet...I also tried other
syntax highlighters such as webcpp but with no luck either. I would prefer
enscript though as it seems easier to extend for csharp etc.

Could anyone please help me?

Cheers,
Valery

This is the correct one. You could even try (double) backward slashes,
but that shouldn't make a difference.

> Then I get an empty framed numbered line in the browser (with nothing else)

You probably have to dig in the enscript mime driver code (render()
method) to see where exactly it fails.
