DIMP H3 (1.0-ALPHA)

The Horde Team is pleased to announce the first alpha release of the Dynamic
Internet Messaging Program (DIMP) version H3 (1.0).

DIMP (Dynamic Internet Messaging Program, or Dynamic IMP) is a PHP-based
webmail system and a component of the Horde project.  DIMP is a version of the
webmail client IMP utilizing AJAX-like technologies to allow a more dynamic
user experience than traditionally offered via IMP.

This is a preview version that should not be used on production systems.  This
version is considered feature complete but there might still be a few bugs.
You should not use this preview version over existing production data.

We encourage widespread testing and feedback via the mailing lists or our bug
tracking system.  Updated translations are very welcome, though some strings
might still change before the final release.

DIMP requires Horde version 3.2 and IMP version H3 (4.2) to run.

IMP H3 (4.2-ALPHA)

The Horde Team is pleased to announce the first alpha release of the IMP
Webmail Client version H3 (4.2).

IMP, the Internet Messaging Program, is one of the most popular webmail
applications available.  It allows universal, web-based access to IMAP and
POP3 mail servers and provides a full range of features normally found only in
desktop email clients.

This is a preview version that should not be used on production systems. This
version is considered feature complete but a few bugs may still exist in the
code.

We encourage widespread testing and feedback via the mailing lists or our bug
tracking system.  Updated translations are very welcome, though some strings
might still change before the final release.

IMP version H3 (4.2) is a major upgrade in the 4.x release series, including
these enhancements:
    * Message and mailbox caching on the server side, resulting in much
      increased performance and much less web server and IMAP server load.
    * Rewrite of much of IMP's core libraries, resulting in more efficient
      memory usage, more efficient IMAP queries, smaller session sizes, and
      increased performance.
    * WCAG 1.0 Priority 2/Section 508 accessibility guidelines compliance.
    * Javascript auto-complete contact list searching.
    * Can now have multiple browser windows open without destroying the
      open session.
    * Logging of sent messages.
    * Server configuration to limit maximum number of recipients per message
      and maximum number of sent messages over a certain period of time.

Horde 3.2-ALPHA

The Horde Team is pleased to announce the first alpha release of the Horde
Application Framework version 3.2.

The Horde Application Framework is a modular, general-purpose web application
framework written in PHP.  It provides an extensive array of classes that are
targeted at the common problems and tasks involved in developing modern web
applications.

This is a preview version that should not be used on production systems.  This
version is considered feature complete but there might still be a few bugs.
You should not use this preview version over existing production data.

We encourage widespread testing and feedback via the mailing lists or our bug

Horde version 3.2 is a major upgrade in the 3.x release series, including these
enhancements:
    * A new Alarm system that can send email alarms, generate popup or inline
      notifications, and play sounds for events in any Horde application.
    * Support for separate read and write databases, and improved useability
      when the database is unavailable.
    * Improved performance, through caching of shares, groups, and permissions;
      faster DataTree queries, and smarter use of session data.
    * The administrator can disable users' ability to change permissions on
      their Shares.
    * Two slick new themes, Tango Blue and Silver Surfer.
    * WCAG 1.0 Priority 2/Section 508 accessibility guidelines compliance.
    * Full Kolab webclient support.

Ingo H3 (1.2-ALPHA)

The Horde Team is pleased to announce the first alpha release of the Ingo
Email Filter Rules Manager version H3 (1.2).

Ingo is an email-filter management application. It is fully internationalized,
integrated with Horde and the IMP Webmail client, and supports both
server-side (Sieve, procmail) and client-side (IMAP) rule creation.

This is a preview version that should not be used on production systems. This
version is considered feature complete but a few bugs may still exist in the
code.

We encourage widespread testing and feedback via the mailing lists or our bug
tracking system.  Updated translations are very welcome, though some strings
might still change before the final release.

Ingo version H3 (1.2) is a major upgrade in the 1.x release series, including
these enhancements:
    * WCAG 1.0 Priority 2/Section 508 accessibility guidelines compliance.
    * Timed vacation messages (I will be away from X to Y).
    * Major improvements to the procmail driver, including negative matches,
      body tests, loop prevention in vacation messages, full character set
      support, 
    * Maildrop driver improvements, including vacation support and full
      character set support in the maildrop driver.
    * Sieve driver improvements, including numeric spam score tests, sivtest
      support, and quota checks before uploading sieve rules.
    * Filter rules can be stored in a SQL database.
    * Administrators can change other user's filter rules.

Kronolith H3 (2.2-ALPHA)

The Horde Team is pleased to announce the first alpha release of the Kronolith
Calendar Application version H3 (2.2).

Kronolith is the Horde calendar application.  It provides web-based calendars
backed by a SQL database or a Kolab server.  Supported features include shared
calendars, remote calendars, meeting management, alarms, recurring events, and
a sophisticated day/week view which handles arbitrary numbers of overlapping
events.

This is a preview version that should not be used on production systems.  This
version is considered feature complete but there might still be a few bugs.
You should not use this preview version over existing production data.

Kronolith version H3 (2.2) is a major upgrade in the 2.x release series,
including these enhancements:
    * Support for the Horde_Alarm system (requires Horde 3.2) for email or
      inline alarms on any event.
    * Improved iCalendar and vCalendar support, including support for
      alarms, timezones, better integration with remote calendars, and
      better support for remote clients.
    * Improved event recurrence, including events that recur a specific
      number of times, recurrence by day of the year and by weekday of the
      year, the choice of editing or deleting a recurring event as either
      the full series or an individual exception, and the ability to remove
      recurrence exceptions.
    * WCAG 1.0 Priority 2/Section 508 accessibility guidelines compliance.

MIMP H3 (1.1-ALPHA)

The Horde Team is pleased to announce the first alpha release of the MIMP
Webmail Client version H3 (1.1).

MIMP (Mobile Internet Messaging Program, or Mobile IMP) is a version of the
webmail client IMP suitable for mobile devices such as WAP phones or
PDAs. Basic IMP functionality is implemented including mailbox viewing and
paging, viewing messages, deleting, replying, forwarding, and composing new
messages.

This is a preview version that should not be used on production systems.  This
version is considered feature complete but there might still be a few bugs.
You should not use this preview version over existing production data.

We encourage widespread testing and feedback via the mailing lists or our bug
tracking system.  Updated translations are very welcome, though some strings
might still change before the final release.

MIMP version H3 (1.1) is a major upgrade in the 1.x release series, including
these enhancements:
    * MIMP now uses IMP for all core functionality.  This means that MIMP
      honors all IMP's preferences, is able to share all cached data with
      IMP (and DIMP), and benefits from all the performance enhancements
      included with IMP 4.2.

MIMP H3 (1.1) requires Horde version 3.2 and IMP version H3 (4.2) to run.

Mnemo H3 (2.2-ALPHA)

The Horde Team is pleased to announce the first alpha release of the Mnemo
Note Manager version H3 (2.2).

The Mnemo Note Manager is the Horde notes/memos application.  It provides
web-based notes and freeform text, similar to the PalmOS Note application and
shared notepads.  It requires the Horde Application Framework and an SQL
database or Kolab server for backend storage.

This is a preview version that should not be used on production systems. This
version is considered feature complete but a few bugs may still exist in the
code.

We encourage widespread testing and feedback via the mailing lists or our bug
tracking system.  Updated translations are very welcome, though some strings

Mnemo version H3 (2.2) is a major upgrade in the 2.x release series, including

    * Support for saving notes as PDF files.

    * Inline search of the note list

    * Full Kolab webclient support
    * All notepads are now shown in a collapsible panel with easy access to
      managing your notepads and choosing which notes to view.

Nag H3 (2.2-ALPHA)

The Horde Team is pleased to announce the first alpha release of the Nag Task
List Manager version H3 (2.2).

Nag is a web-based application built upon the Horde Application Framework which
provides a simple, clean interface for managing online task lists (i.e., TODO
lists).  It also includes strong integration with the other Horde applications
and offers shared task lists.

This is a preview version that should not be used on production systems. This
version is considered feature complete but a few bugs may still exist in the
code.

We encourage widespread testing and feedback via the mailing lists or our bug
tracking system.  Updated translations are very welcome, though some strings
might still change before the final release.

Turba H3 (2.2-ALPHA)

The Horde Team is pleased to announce the first alpha release of the Turba
Contact Manager version H3 (2.2).

Turba is the Horde contact management application. It is a production level
address book, and makes heavy use of the Horde framework to provide
integration with IMP and other Horde applications. It supports SQL, LDAP,
Kolab, and IMSP address books.

This is a preview version that should not be used on production systems. This
version is considered feature complete but a few bugs may still exist in the
code.

We encourage widespread testing and feedback via the mailing lists or our bug
