At work I use AutoCAD so I've done a smattering of
programming in their variant of Lisp. AutoCAD itself
was originally written in Lisp and wasn't rewritten in
C until Rev 12, IIRC.

Hey, speaking of AutoCAD, here's my favorite diet (The Hacker's Diet):

Their slogan is "How to lose weight and hair through stress and poor nutrition"

You duped me into reading about a REAL diet! Are you
in league with my wife? And he calls THAT a "diet?"
Where's the number of calories in Twinkies and Jolt Cola?

Forget the calories. The problem is Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) zero so
you get scurvy. Protein almost nil, so you get kwashiorkor. The
Twinkies are "enriched" with B vitamins, so at least you'll miss
beri-beri. But the absence of fiber will eventually lead to poor bowel
health, high cholesterol, and possibly cancer...

Heheh. Yeah but it really was created by the founder of AutoCAD. And
it's the first diet I've read that has no gimmicks like "eat only
protein" or "don't eat fat." And it is tailored to engineer types.

Anyway I lost 40 pounds on that diet at some point.

Good thing I drink diet tonic water in my vodka
tonics. Lime for scurvy and quinine for malaria.

Lithium batteries?

I'm just curious if anyone has used lithium batteries in the Model 100's. If so, do you feel it's worth the
extra cost? How many hours do they last?

faces & names

There are no new faces to go with the names on the Club100 faces & names page.

It's fun!

Send pictures to Rick.

Re: faces & names

Hey John, you must be psychic or something. Nuge (1) called and left
a message yesterday. I called him back and we burned up the phone
for over an hour ... getting caught up. He just sent some photos and
they are now at the faces -&- names page.

(1) Mike Nugent (n), "Nuge" (adj)(v)(dangling participle) Former
editor/writer/floor sweeper, Portable 100 and 73 magazines. Mike is
the guy who landed the rights to duplicate the SuperROM series. He
also invented the "Portable To Go" disk series. Mike is a HAM, and
he's into Amateur Radio, too! ;-) Disguised as a mild mannered
journalist, Nuge fights for truth, justice and the American Way.
