Happy 30th Birthday!

I only have about 15 minutes left before the end of the day, so I
better squeeze this in:

Happy 30th Birthday to our favorite little home computer that could,
the TRS-80 Color Computer--CoCo to its friends! It was July 31, 1980
that Tandy first announced the computer alongside the TRS-80 Model III
and Pocket Computer.

Re: Emulators and Nitros 9?

I could run it on the Mac under a Virtual Machine, would probably work
well for the CoCo emulator...would have to try it.

Re: Emulators and Nitros 9?

I don't have a pressing need to connect hardware to it or print. I was
just wondering what can be done.

Rainbow Scans

A little over a year ago, someone posted Rapidshare links with a
fairly complete collection of Rainbow magazine scans. I spent a week
or two dealing with Rapidshare's stupid click-and-wait to get them
all.

For the life of me, I cannot find where the heck I saved these things.
I've checked every hard drive in the house. I'm quite disappointed
and annoyed.

Anyway, those Rapidshare links don't work anymore. I don't suppose
someone else has these or can make them available? Or, I could even
send some blank DVDs, for a high-latency high-bandwidth file transfer.

Or better yet, somebody please make a .torrent!

I do actually have about 90% of all physical Rainbow issues, so I'm
not just looking to steal. :)

Color Computer and NitrOS9 Fidonet echoes

I've been talking to some of the Cocoists on the Classic Computers echo, and
we're talking about reviving the Color Computer and OS9 (but now it'd be
NitrOS9) echoes.

How much interest would there be in that? I'm really not sure what would be
involved; Mark Lewis seems to think it's pretty easy. I'd be glad to help,
but I know nothing about starting, maintaining, or hosting.

Whadda think??

Re: Color Computer and NitrOS9 Fidonet echoes

If that happens, maybe I'll get a CoCo here running an internet BBS
again, and try to get fidonet working this time.

Re: Rainbow Scans

Most if not all of the Rainbows are available on this list's ftp site

Re: Rainbow Scans

Oh wow, didn't know Maltedmedia had them! I think those may be the
same scans I lost.
