Re: Status of the CoCo Lounge

I just wanted to provide a quick update to the list on the status of the sale of the CoColounge.First I want to
thank the 3 people that donated to the site. Thanks and hopefully I can get something out to you soon. I have
had 1 offer Pending for the site, and it expires at 3 PM (Mnt) today for $1500. A great deal as the stock was all
boxed up and there is 30 boxes of just CoCo related stuff. I took out all the vintage PC parts to save on
shipping and Monitors. If a buyer does not come forward or this (pending) buyer does not complete the sale,
The parts I promised to the people that donated will be shipped out to them, just for donating. The site will
remain up for reference, but the online store pages will be removed. The boxes will go into storage for 1
month and then disposed of at the
 local compute recycle center.
Thanks again for all your interest and support over the years.
-Glen

Re: Retro hackers

Mark

it is an interesting chip.

There are a couple that would make the Coco3 a very nice peripheral
device to communicate with a PC.

Re: Whoa!!! MPI rip-off???

Wow, yet another clueless post on Ebay. Did you check the other items? they
have a TI994A for only $225.00 and that's already a wonderful 10% off their
original price... oh, and they are not auctions, the items are listed as Buy
It Now.

Perhaps that MPI properly decodes the hidden 256 color mode in the CoCo 3,
has both DVI and Std VGA to take advantage of it, USB 2.0 and Firewire ports
on the back, both math and graphics coprocessors, 16 gig flash drive, Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth and a built in 24 hour full load UPS built in.

Yeah...

You think _that_ is a rip-off, check his "MINT Tandy FD-500 Disk Drive"!!!
It's nothing of the sort, a blatant lie. Time to complain I think...

Well, perhaps his use of the word "MINT" is questionable... it obviously has
been modified with the addition of a second drive and some rather ugly
stickers... hmm...

Re: Whoa!!! MPI rip-off???

Forget the MPI. I'm going for the Turbo Tax for year 2000. Sure it's $50, but it IS the Deluxe version.

Lost treasure found!

I was rummaging through the bottom draw in my 'retro room' looking for a
drive cable to connect a drive to my FD-500 controller on my Coco 3 and I
found a cartridge labeled "Coco Max".

I knew my father had bought one years and years ago for the Coco 1 but
assumed it had been given away with the rest of the system.

Sweet! ;)

(I didn't find a cable however) :(

More treasures, this time from the garage...

TRS-80 Color Computer 'Start-Up/BASIC & Extended BASIC' Quick Reference Card
TRS-80 Colour Computer Quick Reference Guide (Spiral Bound) (26-3194)

also

TRS-80 BASIC/Level II System Reference Card (Nano Systems)
TRS-80 ModelI 'Start-Up/Level II BASIC/Disk System' Quick Reference Card
(26-2106)
LDOS Quick Reference Card

and a drive cable!

And it all appears to work 1st go - I can DSKINI successfully! ;)
