latest hot CoCo stuff

I've posted a few more items on the front page of www.coco3.com, like
Roy's RGB to VGA adaptor, and the CoCo3FPGA project. I'm impressed
by these new gadgets that keep popping up.

Have You invented something worth showing off that you want shown on
the front page? E-mail me with photos and a write-up and I'll get
something in place.

Thanks,
Roger Taylor

looking for NoCan3 memory board maker

I'm doing a little maintenance and have noticed that some cool CoCo
sites are offline, or I might not have the latest URL.

The website for "Only On Saturday Night" that I had linked is no
longer coming up. If someone knows of an alternate site for
information on the NoCan3 memory upgrade board, please shoot me an e-mail?

Thanks

Re: latest hot CoCo stuff

I think that the RGB>S-Video adapter deserves a mention.
A CoCo on a 52" plasma TV? Sweeet ;-)

Roger

The only place I have found Paul's webpages concerning Coco Hardware
has been on Web Archive.

Maybe someone can send me the details on that device or a web site to visit.
Thanks

I think that's the work of Chris Hawks. Is that correct?

coco3.com statistics

Just a note that I have started the CoCo banners back in random
circulation, but I haven't added all that I have yet. I'm working on this now.

If you used to have a static banner in the CoCoNut Directory and
haven't seen yours show up random yet on the new coco3.com theme,
give it a little time.

To give you an example of how many banner views have been made in
just a small # of weeks, here's some of the stats. Ofcourse, some
banners have been in place longer than others, so a longer period of
time needs to go by before the figures are more accurate. You can
basically take Nick's 3 banners and divide the total views by 3 to
get the average.

Cloud-9 - 19700 views (1 banner)
Nick Marentas - 17544 + 17614 + 19387 views (3 banners)
Rainbow IDE - 9058 views (1 banner)
"Claim this Spot" - 17716 views (1 banner)

Also, this live report, which is a little messy since some of the
links are outdated, shows a bargraph of the relative popularity of
all tracked links on the site. If you have a banner in place and
want to see just how it's doing, feel free to visit this link any
time. This isn't the same tracking done by the website's advertising
module which counts page impressions *and* clicks, but it's my own
redirection script for counting actual clicks and sending you to the
latest valid URL.

Yes, that's correct. The RGB to S-Video Adapter will connect your Coco3 to any
TV with an S-Video input (even a 52" Plasma). Unfortunately I'm out of parts and
un-employed at the moment, so I won't be building any for a while. If anyone
knows of an opportunity for an Embedded OS9/Linux programmer (near Rockford,
Il.?) let me know.

Mocha CoCo emulator site

I found that another great CoCo site is not fully coming up. It
seems that the author has removed the JAVA applets to the online CoCo emulator.

I just updated JAVA to the latest version from the official site to
verify that my system was up to date.

Here is the link that I have for Mocha:

http://members.cox.net/javacoco/

If the author is among us, I'll be glad to host a Mocha page on
coco3.com to bring this back.

Hello Chris,

I'm not sure if you are providing the schematics to this video
converter or not, but that would give a good link to put next to a
photo. Let me know if you want something shown on the front page. I
think that the quality of S-Video and the ability to display on
modern TV sets and LCD/plasma screens deserves a lot of attention.

Also, good luck on a new job. I think a good project to get into
would be embedded Linux systems with wireless connectivity to the
internet for giving customers a way to control devices remotely.
