Re: OT: Keeping Current.... ("loaded" Linux Qs)

Thanks a lot guys! I think KUnbuntu will be what I end up with. When I get time I'll load it on my "backup"
machine. Not sure that will be anytime soon though. I'll try the Unbuntu 6 live CD first -- maybe even on my
PII Thinkpad...

	The 4 boxes courrently running here are 2 Linux (Slackware) 1 NitrOS9, and 1
OS9-68000. I have never and will never allow Micro$oft products in my home!

	I just started using XP(u) at work (that's where the development IDE they use
runs). My work box runs Slackware and until this project, I did all my
development there. I'va all ready re-booted the XP(u) box at work more times
than I've re-booted my older Linux box in 12 years!

That would not be a real good idea.

Re: [Color Computer] Re: 128 or 512?

Why James? Would the issue be the limited writes of the
flash cards?

CoCo3 -> VGA adapter

After way too many years in mothballs, and too many months of my newly
purchased CoCo3->VGA adapter sitting in the closet, I *finally* got my
CoCo3 set back up so that I can tinker on the real hardware instead of
an emulator :) I haven't had a chance to give it much of a workout
yet, but so far it looks like Roy did a wonderful job. Thanks again,
Roy!

Re: CoCo3 -> VGA adapter

Rod,

Emulators are ok, but there is nothing like the REAL THING with Roy's
adapter. I agree, very nice job Roy.

Happy CoCoing!

Re: CoCo3 -> VGA adapter

Mark,

I couldn't agree more. I'm looking forward to giving the adapter a
real workout. Now that I've got the real thing running again, with any
luck, I'll be able to convince the wife that Cloud-9's website is the
only place she needs to shop for me for any holidays ;)

Because CF cards are not byte-addressable? They look like a hard
drive, not memory.
