Does anybody want to send me the exception.asm with floating point
handling capability inside the interrupt service routine? I stuck on
this issue for a while.

Re: Problems erasing/writing internal flash on MPC565

Hi,

Did someone of you succeed in erasing and writing to flash array B
while executing code stored in flash array A without relocating it
into RAM?
On some MPC565 chips I get a strange behaviour of array B, which
becomes unreadable until reset.

Thank you in advance for any suggestion.

AN 1776

Hi,
i am trying to implement This AN 1776 application notes Stereo Audio
Transmission Over The CAN Bus Using The Motorola MPC 555 With TouCAN
Module.
 in the toucan.c module the function set_ip;an assemberler
instruction is requried to access the satatus register. i am using
VISUAL-X tools complier.

when i am trying to compile this code

void set_ip (int ip)
{
switch (ip) {
case 0: asm(" ORI.W #0x0700,SR",
" ANDI.W #0xF0FF,SR" );
break;

case 1: asm(" ORI.W #0x0700,SR",
" ANDI.W #0xF1FF,SR" );
break;

case 2: asm(" ORI.W #0x0700,SR",
" ANDI.W #0xF2FF,SR" );

RE: AN 1776

The app note is for MC683xx family, not the powerPC MPC500 family. Although most of the note applies in
general and to the Toucan module, the MC683xx assembler instructions are not valid. The set_ip function
is also purely for MC683xx and is not valid for MPC5xx.

CAN_IARB - there should be a space between "CAN_IARB" and "2" i.e. CAN_IARB is defined as 2. I hadn't noticed
this before. Anyway, there are slight differencies betweem the MC68300 Toucan and the MPC500 toucan -
IARB is one of them. IARB does not exist on MPC500 family, so this has to be removed anyway.

Regards,
Allan

MPC555 & CAN

does any body wrote a CAN protocol for this controller?

i need a help:

i have a protocol which communicate between 3 controllers: MAIN, GPS &
LASER.

the protocol works fine with MAIN & GPS.
the problem is with the Laser. in the protocol there is handshaking
between the MAIN  & GPS/LASER.
for example: the main sends message with ID 50, and the other 2 should
answer him with mesaage ID 51.

in first time this occurs in the LASER, it works fine. the second time
the MAIN sends a message with ID 50, the LASER don't recive it (but
the GPS yes).

what can be the problem & how to solve it?

10x alot

RE: Digest Number 711

Your best bet is to use different transmit and acknowledge messages to
and from the Laser and GPS. Schedule them in main such that it provides
time for each device to ack before transmitting to the other.

PB555 to LCD interface

Hi there,
I have a question concerning the PB-555 board. Is it possible to
interface an LCD to the PB555 board using memory mapping like it is
done in the CME555 board? I am currently trying to interface a 2x20 LCD
to the board using the same wiring interface as CME555. However, the
CS3 signal in the CME555 refers to external memory outside of MPC555.
Has anyone done any kind of LCD interfacing for PB-555? Any suggestions
or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Lei Wang

Re: Problems erasing/writing internal flash on MPC565

Hi,

today I got an answer from Freescale stating that:

> ... this is an errata that has yet to be released.
> If you attempt to program the bank B from bank A you could see
> exactly what you are seeing.
> This really occurs when the programming voltage is turned off.

Does someone know more about this?
TIA

m_common.h

I'm looking in m_tpu3.h and it includes "m_common.h"... Just wondering
what was in there as a google search didn't turn up anything (defining
internal_memory_base?).

Thanks,

Chris
