File doesn't sync from DT to HH

Treo 755p crashed: hard reset and reinstalled apps, including SP4.3. Only other change was upgrade Hotsync to 7.0. All apps appear to sync, except SP: DT and HH do communicate, since after entering reg code on HH the DT "not registered" went away. Hotsync conduit shows SP and is set to synchronize; the .xml file on the DT is in the user file (Palm/TuffliC/ShadowPlan400/XXX.xml); file on DT is flagged to "request upload"; tried syncing with SP off, with SP open/file closed, with SP open/file open; tried setting Hotsync Mgr to DT overwrites HH -- still no file on HH. Any ideas?

    Theres a new handheld version, so I'd move up to that. There
    definately was something like you're describing, biut I don't recall it

      See if you can find lastsync.txt and find out where its looking,
      if t all, for that file. Palm Desktop after a reinstall does tend to
      create a directory mess/mixup often, so it might be causing some conduits
      to look in other places.. maybe oyu've got another copy of your files
      somewhere else, now, that you didn't know about. (Try doing some searchs
      for filenames you know, and see what comes up..)

        Thanks for the tip Jeff. I just updated the handheld, did a Hotsync and
        go a bunch of blank tasks added again. I'll either have to experiment
        and get you more details or just turn the hotsync off. It's too bad
        since I had this working perfectly in the past. Oh well....

        Jeff—

        As usual you were right on. Checked out lastsync.txt and found out that it was syncing to the reinstall "administrator" folder, which had a version of the sync file NOT marked for upload. Changed that version to "upload requested" and browsed to that file in the DT: bingo, sync now working. Thanks (you rock)!!

        Shadow Plan using ACCESS' PalmOS emulator for the N810

          Generalize: Palm apps (Shadow Plan) using PalmOS emulators for XXX platform

          I think migration into another plattform is a paramount issue on all our minds...

          So it would be interesting to know about what viable alternatives are available.

          Any experience by any of the group members ?

          I hate migrations ! I already have migrated from :

          -CCPM/86 -> MS/DOS -> OS/2 -> Windows -> Linux -> Windows
          -HP200Lx into Palm -> ??? what's next ?

          Like I said, I have made considerable investment in paid software for the Palm, I'd hate to let it go by migrating into another platfforms...

          hoping to hrar from you

            Migration, was Generalize, and using Palm emulators

            Good morning!

            I use my Tungsten E2 daily. I'm not switching, 'cause ShadowPlan, apart from
            being one of three programs I paid for (freeware is great, but Shadow was
            worth every penny!) is the only program I use EVERY day.

            I suppose I MIGHT be able to create something similar to Shadow using
            FileMaker Pro, but why bother? I have the desktop version too, though I
            DON'T use it. The Mac version just doesn't do what the pda can. Nor does the
            Mac Book fit in a pocket. :)

            Cheers,

              Jeff,

              Have you thought of rebuilding it in Java. That would give you greater flexibility in porting among different handhelds, although not all of them. Apparently the Pre doesn't run Java. The iPhone and Aodroid do. Not sure about the Blackberry. Of course Windows, Mac X, and Linux do, so it would cover all the desktops. Of course I am stealing this idea from CESD.
