Export MS Word Outline to Shadowplan - fast

I have created a MS Word template that facilitates using Word as an
outliner. This template also contains a fast macro that exports your
outlines to Shadowplan.

Sorry to say that you are not the only Linux or OSX user who is looking
for tags to be available on the Desktop.

As far as I know the only way to make tags is on the handheld. Then
when you sync in Windows, you get the tags on the desktop.
Unfortunately it doesn't work in Linux. Here is a post from a previous
thread telling how you need to do it currently and it requires using the
Windows Shadow Desktop to do it. :-(

Thanks so much for this. It has made Word more useful to me than ever, which is very important given that I work in an MS environment.

Best regards,

Ray

Re: Export MS Word Outline to Shadowplan - fast

Hi Ray,

Does the macro work well for you? Would you have done something
differently, or is there any other functionality in that you think
could be useful?

Kind regards,

Nick

Linux latest

Hello All,

I noticed in Erwin's recent post that there's a newer Linux Desktop
(4.3.9) than the one I have (4.3.1). Where can I get the latest build?

Hi Mike.

This is the latest alpha version. To get it you have to join the
desktop testing list. You will find a post with link to the zip file in
December 2006 archives of the list, Subject: Shadow Desktop 4.3.9
rebuild alpha.

To join the list and also for looking at the archives (members only):

http://shadow.skeleton.org/mailman/listinfo/shadow-dt

Post to that list if you have questions about it.

Re: Export MS Word Outline to Shadowplan - fast

I have uploaded a new version of the template to the files section. When
listing next actions (GTD terminology) you can now choose to
automatically create either a task or an appointment.
The description is on my blog:

can't delete files/lists

Hi,
I must say first off, I haven't been using my program for over a year
and forgot too much. That said, I want to basically start over. I
have tried to delete the lists and files no my Clie 70X, but when I
open SP they are all right there. I also don't know how to delete
them from the desktop.
Can someone help?

I have not gotten rid of any lists in a while, so I may not be correct
about this. But I believe the syncing is what is putting your lists
back. You should be able to go to the list of files in SP and tap the
drop-down at the right of the list name and just pick delete. If you
then reopen SP, that list should be gone.

(You don't have them stored on a locked SD card do you? That might
keep you from actually deleting a list. But I would think there would
be an error in SP ... never tried it.)

What I do (or recall doing), is to delete the lists I want archive
from the HH, then immediately go to the desktop and move those same
lists into the archive directory (not Backup) I created. Then I sync.

Hope that helps.
