Newbie: help & unchecked todos

Hi, This looks like mostly developers, I hope you don't mind some newbie questions.

I've just installed Progect. When I create an action task with a todo link, and check the "done" box, it
unchecks every time I close and reopen the project on my palm. This appears to be true whether or not I have
"hide done tasks" checked: if hidden, it will uncheck and unhide upon opening/closing.

As far as I know, everything else is working.

Also: is there a manual or help pages anywhere? I can't find one.

Thanks! Progect 0.30b6 on a Treo 750, synched to PDesk 0.8.4 on Win XP Pro.

Sync Problem

I've been using Progect and PDesk for several weeks now with little
problem.

Today, they won't sync at all. I've looked on the Palm sync log and
can't find anything. I don't understand the PDesk sync log so I don't
know what could be wrong there.

Anybody have a solution?

Python22.dll

Hi,

I installed pDesk on my PC to hotsync with Progect intalled on my Palm
Centro. However, when I try to run pDesk I get an error message to the
effect that the application can't be loaded because pythonn22.dll can't
be found. The message suggests that reinstalling pDesk can correct the
problem. I tried to reinstall pDesk to no avail.

Please help.

Thank you.

Andre

Icons???

How do I put icons on Progect? I can put icons on the trees in PDesk,
but they don't show up on Progect.

How do I get new icons for PDesk? I've tried to import new icons (I
grabbed tons when I got IconMgr) but I can't seem to get them on PDesk.

Thanks,

Inner Prop

geni version of progect

I'm running this version of progect. It feels snappy, and the author
claims that it is faster with todo linked projects.

http://geni.ath.cx/palm.html#_Progect_g

Somebody more in the know might approach him about maintaining the
project if it is abandoned (as I suspect but do not know. :) )

Pdesk for Linux

Hi, new user here,

I'm running ubuntu, and I'm looking for a pdesk deb. Or failing that,
a simple install method. The svn method leaves a pile of files
everywhere, and I can't get it to work.

Can someone pull together a simplified install? Or point me to one?

Thanks,

I have used all of the mentioned "outliners" alongside Progect. The best for my needs (next to Progect) was
Splash Notes which seems to be a replacement/upgrade of Thoughtmanager. The others proved too
complicated for my needs although they were all very good. In the end, the "best" program is the one you use
the most and in that respect, Progect has been a life saver. I too wish I was able to help and we are lucky
someone like Rick takes the time. Thanks, Rick!

PDesk installation and intialization

Hi, everyone,

I'm not an expert in softwares (my competences are related to project
management).

I heard about Progect (for Palm) and PDesk and wished to trial it. So I
downloaded and run 'PDesk For Testing Only Version 2.exe'. But it
didn't work. How can I fix this? Is there any licence file which I must
replace? I'm under Win XP and Palm Zire 21.

By the way ..... Progect seems to be an excellent solution for my field
problems.

Thanks a lot,

Claudio Kindlé
