[HS] While waiting for an Android version of HandyShopper,...

can anyone tell me how to export a SplashShopper grocery list to HandyShopper. I want to quit using SplashShoper and go back to HandyShopper. I initially imported my databases from HandyShopper to SplashShopper, but cannot determine a way to reverse the process.

I will be so happy when an Android version is available.

So will I, but I'm not holding my breath.
As for SplashShopper, my best guess would be to look for an export to
text file function of some kind. Then you can do some find/replace as
needed and import the text file via MemoPad into HandyShopper.

[HS] How Did This Happen?

I received this e-mail concerning a message I had sent to the HandyShopper Yahoogroup, "While waiting for an Android version of HandyShopper,..."

The problem is that this e-mail was received at my private e-mail address, not the e-mail address I am enrolled with at Yahoo. Is this man even a member of the HandyShopper Group? I am truly upset about this, and, of course, have not responded to Mr. Ontjes and will not.

My first clue that something was not right about the response is that it is not in the Yahoogroup message files for HandyShopper.

I am using HandyShopper on my Droid Incredible and love it. I've never used SplashShopper but love SplashID. SplashID exports to a csv file from which you can import into most things. HandyShopper accepts a csv file. Try exporting from SplashShopper to a .csv file and then reformatting to import into HandyShopper.

Hope that helps.

This should have been a private message to the group owner, not public.
Since the public has seen the question, they might as well see my answer.
First off, while I don't know what addresses you want to get mail to,
this is the one you're sending from which everyone on the group can see
    when you post: neptara-xwVYE8SWAR3R7s880joybQ@public.gmane.org
Secondly, no one here has any control over what address(es) you have
subscribed with Yahoo. Only you do. There are a number of possibilities
as to why things are not what you thought they were, but they are all
between you and your Yahoo account.
Were you aware that a single Yahoo Groups account can have a dozen
different email addresses, and every group you are on can be sent to a
    different address in your account?
Are you aware that Yahoo can be really messed up sometimes, and do
really stupid things that neither you nor I have any control over
    whatsoever?

I'm sorry that you're upset that someone replied to one of your messages
privately on an account you weren't expecting to get the reply to. I
hope that you are able to figure out what the problem is so that you can
avoid it happening in the future.

    Thanks!
    -Greg

Not trying to freak you out, but do you have mail forwarding setup on either of your email accounts? That
could account for getting the crossed notices on an account that is not setup on Yahoo. I have a hotmail
account, a yahoo account and a gmail account and have them each setup to use the others in case I forget my
password, but I DON'T have them setup to forward email from one to the other.

I would check your Yahoo profile first to see if anything is out of whack.

      Just a suggestion.... Good luck.

But is that address you set up with on the handyshopper group? Yahoo!
lets you use alternate email addresses on your groups. Verify that
what you think it should be is correct under

That may not necessarily be anything sinister.

If the address you got the message on is in fact where you were set to
receive your handyshopper messages, then this may just have been a
case where Joan hit "Reply to all" on an email client and accidentally
deleted the group's address rather than yours.

My apologies to everyone. I did check my e-mail settings and found I did have it set up so that messages went to that e-mail address. I am so embarrased.

what was that saying, something like: don't blame conspiracy when it might
      be explained through incompetence ?

don't worry, I once thought I was wrong, but I was mistaken..
