[HS] Problem with aisle numbers with latest version

I just downloaded and installed 3.0 build 3930. I had the alpha
version installed and had been using it for about a year and a half
for my shopping lists on my WM5 Dell Axim x51v. I use the aisle
column for the order of each item as I come to it within the store. I
have 200+ items in one of the stores where I do 99% of my shopping and
just check or uncheck items as I need them each week. I have it set
up with 3 digit aisles so I have plenty of room to add more items as I
need them. This all worked perfect in the old version. With this new
version, no matter what I do I can't assign a 3 digit aisle number to
an item, whether it be a new item or trying to edit an existing item
in my database from the old version. I created a test database and
can assign a 3 digit aisle number to those new items. I even tried
making the columns wider, thinking that maybe this was truncating the
number, but that wasn't it either.

Any ideas on what is going on here? Hopefully I won't have to redo
all my databases for this new version.

Could you be more specific? What did you click on, exactly, what file
name did you get, did you download for Windows Mobile or for Palm,
where did you look to determine it is version 2, etc.

There is no version 2 at the link I posted.

I suspect that you looked at the file named HandyShop2.prc. If you
look at the documentation or install the file, you can see the version
is 3.0. Perhaps I will rename the prc file simply to reduce confusion.

It is for neither. It is for Palm OS handheld devices, and for Windows
Mobile handheld devices.

You could consider sending me your database, with *detailed steps*
for how to reproduce the problem you are seeing. (Hint: "no matter
what I do I can't assign a 3 digit aisle number" is not detailed
enough ;-).

Please read the directions in the Readme.htm file, which explain how
to report problems/bugs/etc.

[HS] Wal-Mart Grocery list

I just downloaded HandyShopper and am working on getting it set up on my
Palm Treo (755p).

It appears to be a great product!

Does anyone have a grocery database they'd like to share that could give me
a head-start on establishing a new database?

Thanks,

Dave

[HS] Blackberry

Hello... I love using my handy shopper on my zire and am in the
process of deciding on a new cell phone. Would really like to get a
palm centro but am leaning toward the blackberry due to the palm not
having GPS. Is there a handyshopper version that can be used on the
blackberry? Im trying to minimize the number of items I have to carry
around.

Thanks
Dana

Hi Chris,

Will this work on the Motorola Q? I downloaded it. It installed. It
has the icon. It comes up when I select it. Then it says it can't
find a database (no surprise there ;-) and that I should "tap new" to
create one. When I press the "new" soft key, nothing much happens. I
see a quick flash but I can't read it and repeated pressing of "new"
does not show me the flashed message again.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Mike

HS does not work on Blackberry on as far as I understand is not going
to work anytime soon.

It's easier to buy a bluetooth gps for Centro than make HS work on Blackberry.

[HS] Re: Wal-Mart Grocery list

Dave I just installed the HS2_Multi-Store.PDB (MultiStore Shopping
List - Includes Drug store, Home Depot / Lowes, Office Supply,
Supermarket, Walmart.) on my Treo 755p, it's a great starter and seems
to be working great.
