No, categories are limited by the Palm system itself so only one category
per item and 15 cats plus unfiled.

I use icons for this purpose; even sometimes making the icon a word so I
remember what it is supposed to be. Of course you can't choose items
"only" with that icon but sorting helps.

[HS] Exercise Bicycle Record

It seems that HS users like to keep records of things.
I started [joined] a gym and building up on an exercise bike with all the
different programs. I printed out a piece of paper with columns and
headings, and then I thought, WHY am I trying to do this on paper when I
can do it on HandyShopper?
So, I'm uploading my list to the group.

So far I haven't used Stores or Categories, saving that for something later.
There is a note under *Program which lists my headings; but here they are:
Icon: for Level. Description for name of program, only one on there so
far is "Foothills".
Custom Text is max heartrate reached, Quantity is Calories, Units is
hours [so 20 min is .33 hrs], Aisle is rpm most used during workout,
price is Miles so that Unit price is miles per hour. Date is date
exercise was done.

For most of the time I display icon, quantity, unit price, and miles.
Where the column allows alphabetical entry the title line has what that
column is.

HS3 Alpha #3 allows *viewing* multiple categories, but each item still can only 
be assigned to one category.

I use CustomText for additional sorting, entering keywords separated by "," in 
that field. I then use the QuickSearch to filter display items containing those 
keywords.

For example my DigiCam list looks something like this
* item        | Category | CustomText | Price | Date
* Option30    | Pentax   | S,3,3x     | 777   | 6 3 04
* P'shot A510 | Canon    | S,3,4x     | 999   | 6 11 05

QuickSearching "S," will get all digicam using SD card. Enter "3," for 3 
Megapixel digicams. Enter ",4x" for 4x Optical Zoom cams.

You could put a "Unique Code" in the Note field, searchable.  This  code 
could be progressive so as to exclude more groups as it gets  longer.

[HS] beginner: how do i get started?

hi,
i download handyshopper and am trying to use it but since i am
new to palm computing itself, i would appreciate even small 
pointers to give me a general overview of what i can do with
this nifty program. the "help" and the "how to use" in the
installation .html file weren't too helpful for me. thanks alot!!

[HS] Importing databases from Palm HS2

I have tried to import .pwi and .psw files. I get either file not 
found or unspecified error. HELP!

I'm also experiencing the same problem. Even if after installing
hs2.9c, it still crashes. sigh...
