Re: [HS] Re: Suggestion: Fonts

Hi,
I use fonthack to overcome what my device does not permit. So far so good except some characters under HS is
snip off.But it doesn't matter as long as you know how to use HS.There are other font hacks out there that may
do what you want but this it OT under HS site rule so I will not write further.

But if HandyShopper displays and edits fields in its own tiny fonts
right now, what's the difference which fonts to use? Why not allow to
choose built-in fonts on hi-res devices that can be transparently
localized?

As has been mentioned, this is off topic. There's really no right answer to
this question, anyway. If you're used to Windows, get a windows machine. If
you're used to Mac and can afford one, get a mac. If you don't know either
way, and can afford it, get a mac. If you don't care, and have a tight
budget, get a windows machine.
As for which works better with a Palm, I'll assume you mean WITH
HANDYSHOPPER and say that either will work just as well, since there's no
desktop that comes with HandyShopper. To use the 3rd party desktop apps,
you need either Windows, or MS Excel on a Mac.

Purge deletes items as selected no matter what. Checkout only resets them
to not-needed (the dot) status, deleting ONLY those items marked as
"auto-delete" in its details.

Yes it's a good idea that many people want.
I can't answer whether or not it will be added into a future release.

RE: [HS] Palm better with Apple or PC?

I would buy a PC because most of the apps that have a desktop component
will be Windows based first and Mac secondary if at all.

Subject: [HS] Palm better with Apple or PC?

Hey,

Im planning on buying a Palm hand held, but was curious which computer
it would work better on.

I'm planning on buying a new PC, My old one is only running about 400
MHZ, has a 10 GB hard drive, and a measely 8GB hard drive, and my
monitor's colors resemble a rain bow, definately time to upgrade.

I cant decide weather or not I want an Apple or a PC.

I've been looking at Dell's PC's online, right now they have laptops
for $599.00 including free shipping and handling, <A HREF=

If you click this link </A> and then you go to AS ADVERTISED, I think
the link goes is a text link at the bottom of the page, it shows a
note book for $599.00.

It has 2.3 GHZ Intel Celeron Processor, Windows XP Home, 14.1 XGA TFT

[HS] Re: Suggestion: Fonts

Hi Chris,

Thank you so much for such detaied explanation. I suspected that font
management in Palm is strange and now after they introduced tiny
fonts the situation just went worse :(

Thanks for reporting a bug, but I believe that was fixed a while ago.
Please download and install the latest version of HandyShopper from
PalmGear, or this group's files section. Build 5903 is the latest.

Re: [HS] Is HS2 still being developed/feature request

The problems not the database structure, entering data etc. What I'd
really like is just to be able to rename the columns (fields) to
something meaningful, for each database.

Thanks though.
