Hello !

I have a working installation of Openzaurus for Sharp Collie 5500, and
i would like to assemble a mirror of Openzaurus packages.
If someone still has access to the original archive, and would like to
share its access, I would really appreciate it.
My server is on a fast bandwidth and I would make the archive
available also for other persons, which would still like to download
the packages from it.

opie / openzaurus at nintendos DS?

Moin,

I love to use my Zaurus 5500 with opie and openzaurus. My girl friend loves 
her DS (with installed linux). Well, we are looking for a common calendar 
that we can sync with the Desktop.
So I thought it would be a good thing if opie/openzaurus is available for the 
DS. Are there any plans?

[FREECYCLE] PDAir leather case for c7x0

During cleaning house I found two leather cases [1] for c7x0 Zaurus. Both 
are made by PDAir company and fit c7x0 Zaurus with big or small battery 
(c1000/c3x00 does not fit). Both are in ideal condition (one was not used).

One of cases has also clip mounting.

Angstrom onZzaurus SL-5500

Hi,

I tried to install Angstrom on a Zaurus 5500 following the HOWTO
found here [1]. The files I dowloaded from [2].

After flashing the Zaurus I boot the device, I can see the
Angstrom splash screen but the boot process stop when the process bar
achieve 50 percent.

How can I install the Angstrom distribution? I used before OpenZaurus
3.5.3.

Angstrom Opie 1.2.3 testing

Hi all,

I would like to announce that some testing images of the Angstrom Linux 
distribution (http://www.angstrom-distribution.org) containing the Opie user 
environment version 1.2.3 are now available. For most devices, this is 
the first time Opie 1.2.3 has been available in a distribution in any form, 
and once testing and debugging has finished we hope that this will give 
access to Opie to more users.

If you have one of the following listed devices, we would love to hear 
feedback on how well it works for you:

 * iPAQ h4000 series
 * iPAQ h5000 series
 * iPAQ hx4700
 * Zaurus SL-5500
 * Zaurus SL-5600
 * Zaurus SL-C1000

your device as well as some known issues.

For devices above with PocketPC installed, there is an easy method of booting 
into Angstrom that allows you to boot from a card without completely 
replacing PocketPC - details on the page linked above.

Opie is now on the path to becoming a supported choice of environment within 
Angstrom, and we expect the testing period to last for at least a month, 
during which time we will be collecting information and fixing serious bugs 
where they are found.

We welcome all feedback, so if you can, please try one of the images and send 
your reports to angstrom-distro-users <at> linuxtogo.org. Note that this message is 
cross-posted so please be careful if you reply.

strange USB Problem

Moin,

I want to connect my Zaurus via USB to a server (well, I call it 'server'. 
It's just a Linux box running 24/7). But by plugging the USB connector into
the socket I get:

This is strange, because USB is working fine at this 2.6.18 machine. I tried 
this with two other computers. A old DELL notebook (kernel 2.6.13) with USB 
1.1, and here I get a good connection so I can use the USB cable for IP 
trafifc.

problems with ipkg upgrade on spitz in a SL-C3100.

Hi,

Recently, after successfully configuring my wireless card in openzaurus,
I did an ipkg update; ipkg-upgrade. When everything was upgraded, and
after rebooting, I noticed that the openzaurus had downloaded new kernel
modules (2.6.23, while the previous onw was the 2.6.22), so nothing
really worked now. After some researching, I found that I had to reflash
the zaurus with the new kernel, which I did, only to find that the
graphical user interface and the wireless card are no longer working. Am
I supposed to not do an ipkg upgrade? The new kernel is ok and the
modules load, but now the graphical mode does not start and the wireless
card gives lots of errors.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Updater -- SD Card not Found!!!

Hi all:

I'm new to the list, so please excuse me if this question has been asked
(and solved) before :).

Recently I decided to jump to OpenZaurus. I have a SL-C3100. I installed
angstrom following the instructions from
http://wiki.openzaurus.org/Spitz/Install and using the toolkit
Angstrom-x11-pimlico-image-glibc-ipk-2007.9-test-20071017-spitz-installkit.tgz. Everything
worked well. Nevertheless, after making a ipkg update and ipkg upgrade I ran out of free space disk (I
haven't installed dosfstools so I only had hda1 and hda2 partitions), so I decided to start the
instalation again giving more space to this two partitions. However, I don't know what happened. I
fdisked again and when I put the SD card (512M) containing the Angstrom files and select 4 -> SD -> Y, I get an
error message something like:

--- ... Updater ... ---
SD Card Not Found!!!

And the system reboots. I don't know how to recover a running Angstrom
in my Zaurus, and I am a bit worried I won't be able to set it up again,
can somebody please help?
