Hello+help with screen orientation?

Hello
my name is Michael and I am an idle Telecommunications Engineer and enjoy Linux. I am interested in getting
the universal working I am a beginner/intermediate user of Linux and am willing to help if possible with
this project.

I have intermediate knowledge of C

firstly does anyone know how to set the orientation of the screen to landscape via the console the GUI does
not seem to allow this option and is it possible to get touchscreen working on GPE.

A little list od problems with GPE

Hi list, I am using GPE 2.7 in hx4700 familiar Linux:

and i have these problems, hope somebody can recognise them and help me
to find the solution.

1.- The cursor sometimes get non-calibrated, so it is a mess to log in
or even to close a window.

2.- The cursor start to go to some direction, no matter if I am moving
something or not, it can go up or down alone, this is a problem when
trying to write in gnumeric for example, you choose a cell and it goes
up or down to the first o last cell or column, or when trying to input
an appoinment if you try to choose an hour the clock stars spinning and
does not stop.

3.- The panel does launch programs whe clicking in the icons. the panel
sometimed does nothing.

4.- For the ebook reader, it might be a bug, it can not parse large text
 so it cuts the ebook.

If someone have problems like these please share your experience!!

yes, there is a command line interface in latest gpe-calendar builds for the
770. To export events use the "-e" parameter. "-h" prints out some information
what you can do...

Invalid RRULE from jpilot

Hello,

I imported my old palm calendar to GPE (running on a Nokia 770). To do that I 
exported the calendar from jpilot in the ical format and imported in gpe. It 
almost worked. I had to remove manually the VENTRY with the RRULE, because 
gpe could not read it:

RRULE:FREQ=WEEKLY;BYDAY=TU;WKST=SU;INTERVAL=2;UNTIL=20020218

Not sure if it is a know deficiency but I thought I report it, maybe it helps 
to make gpe even better.

where can I find the latest toolchain for GPE

hello all:
     I want to compile  gpe-tetris-0.6-4 for
gpe-inage-v0.8.4-rc1-h3600.I find the
toolchain(arm-linux-gcc-3.3.4)can not do it.
    Is there a toolchain for gpe-v0.8.4-rc1?Where can i find it?

Translation mailinglist

Hi,

i was pointed to this bugreport about a pile of new Japanese translations for
GPE applications.

I wonder if it would be a good idea to have a mailinglist we use to receive all
the translation update notifications so that we can add these more easily. I
have no idea who gets all these mails currently...
