Barry version 0.7 (alpha) released

Hello Barry Fans,

A long overdue version of Barry has finally hit the servers.

This version includes RPM binary releases for Barry, including bcharge,
btool, and the GUI backup program. Thanks to Troy Engel doing the main
work on this.

The Debian package rules have been updated for Etch by Peter Silva.
I still need to upgrade my system to Etch, at which point I'll be
able to build a proper .deb binary release and include it with
the rest of the packages on SourceForge.

Work is continuing behind the scenes, adding support for syncing calendar
items with OpenSync 0.22. This is still _highly_ experimental, and
backups of both your device and your desktop software data should be
done before playing.

Please. Backup. There's even a GUI in RPM format now to do your backups
with, so there's no excuse. ;-)

The OpenSync plugin is not nearly as polished as I would have liked
for a release. I hope version 0.8 will be much more feature rich,
and be released shortly as well. It may depend on OpenSync 0.30, depending
how things hash out. I'd be happy to discuss this if people are
interested.

And speaking of version 0.8, please report any problems with the binary
packages in 0.7, so they can be fixed for 0.8. This is the first major
binary release, and I want to hear of any bumps in the road.

Sweeet. I just installed the three RPMs on a FC6 system that's never
seen a lick of this code, after a pretty recent reboot as well.
Looking good, my Pearl is at 500mA id 0x0004, symlinks in /dev/ are
all hooked up, no strange errors in /var/log/messages - all systems
are a go, Houston.

Barrybackup just sucked everything off the device without any
problems, btool -c working great, and so forth. I did, of course, have
to 'rmmod usb_storage' first as usual.

Thanks!

Open mouth insert foot. Was SELINUX (grumble). Fixed...so far so good,
testing PPP soon on FC6.

I should warn you, that's not fully functional. Sorry. That command
is where it will be implemented, but it's not finished yet.

I should have documented that better.

FC6 + bcharge 0.7 = usb_storage weirdness

With bcharge 0.7 I have trouble getting any USB mounting action; I
removed the RPMs and plugged in the device and it instantly mounted.
Something's fishy in bcharge 0.7, methinks.

Some var/log/messages output for the various attempts with bcharge
installed, each attempt nearly identical output. At no point did I
actually get a mounted sda1 as expected.

Could you check if bcharge is running over and over? Probably not,
but worth a check.

Could you post the lsusb -v output from your 0.7 system, and from
your 0.6 system? I assume it's the same device.

update record.cc and record.h

All,

 I've updated record.h and record.cc based on my 7100g <-> Outlook
combination. I can now parse 275+ records with no unknowns, and I think its
actually pretty accurate ;). Next this is to finish memos and add the ldap
stuff to contacts.
 If anyone is loading their BB from a different office application and has
some unknowns in contacts I'd liike to see them, contact me directly for
that.

Thanks very much for the patch!

In record.h, you added the following code:

+    std::string FreeBusy;

+    ///
+    /// Free Busy Flag
+    ///
+ /// Note: This is set either to Free, Busy, Tentative or Out of Office
+    ///        by Microsoft Outlook
+    ///
+    enum FreeBusyFlag {
+        Free = 0,
+        Tentative,
+        Busy,
+        OutOfOffice
+    };

Interestingly, the FreeBusy setting doesn't work for me. I can set it
in the device, but it doesn't show up with "btool -d 'Calendar'".
