Specific element visualization OFF

Hello MayaVi friends. I have the following question:

I already know how to plot a part of the finite element mesh (Filters >
Extract Unstructured Grid > ...)

Now though, I only want to take away (set visualization off) ONLY 4
elements (arbitrarily numbered - they represent a crack).

Do you have any idea, how I could do that?

This is a hack but you could use 4 extract unstructured grid filters
one after the other to do the trick.  As I said, it is a hack!

Can you please post a *small* test data file along with instructions
on how to reproduce the error.  Only then would it be possible for
someone to help you out.

Hmm, if you are trying to use two scalar datasets together then mayavi
does now allow this. :( There is only one active scalar attribute at a
given point of time.  One way to get around this for small datasets is
to re-open the data file.  Yes, it is wasteful but this is not
currently supported in mayavi1.  I will try and think of a way to
support this sort of thing with mayavi2.
