MSYS2 Repository

Hi,

I'm new to this list. I'm interested in contributing to the very promising
MSYS2 development, but apparently there is no repository for it right now.
Are there any plans to setup a repository (preferrably using GIT) so that
efforts can be shared and coordinated?

Cheers
Jürgen

There is a repository but you have to ask Earnie for access:

http://sourceforge.net/u/earnie/msys2/home/Home/

Currently MSYS2 is housed at
http://sourceforge.net/u/earnie/msys2/home/Home/ until we get a more
finalized version. I had begun review and some changes have been
added to the repository. I'll sync up with Cygwin 1.7.10 once it is
released.

ruby for msys

I just uploaded ruby 1.8.3 for msys to my site.
So far it seems to work fine i even got rails running but im not
a ruby developer so if someone could give it a try reports are welcome.

You might need to rebase (atleast i had to) but after it runs just
fine it seems.

the package can be found here.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/cbadvanced/files/Msys%20Specific/msys-ruby-1.8.7z/download

Let me know how it works for you.

If anyone uses "gems" not obtained through your distribution,
then they might need to be rebased, too--see:
