Although it's not my plan to provide such support I know that it will
inevitably happen. Sigh!  msysDVLPR is the package you need to build
MSYS apps.  There is no header file named "syms.h", though, for the MSYS
target.  Is your configure correct?

I fear it'll happen anyway.

The core MSYS doesn't have to. If people want to build MSYS apps for 
themselves, I guess you can simply tell them that they are on their own

Try this:

find . -name '*.orig' -exec sh -c 'diff -u $0 ${0%.orig}' '{}' \;

See the findutils and bashref documentation for further information :).

You should really `cvs co msys/dvlpr'.  It contains the GCC and binutils
patches I created as well as the scripts I use for msys releases.  I
fear you used the wrong template header.  I'll take a look at the patch
you sent under separate cover.

You had said you used mingw32.h as the template for creating msys.h. 
Looking at your msys.h you're probably fine, I didn't give it a try
though.

It is fine. At least the GPC testsuite is completed without any 
problems. I started up with mingw32.h as the template, but I ended up  
editing it substantially.
