This works fine so far. The only issue seems to be that the PDF file
generated from xiao-haizi-guai-guai.ly is completely empty (which I
assume shouldn't be the case considering what you said above). The
error I get from ghostscript is slightly different this time:

I've just found what I consider to be a bug with the Windows version.

If I drop a .ly file onto the LilyPond icon, the resulting files (*.log,
*.pdf) have the correct name, that is, the same as the .ly file.

However, when I double click on a .ly file (which I want to do, because
it creates the output files in the same directory as the input file,
rather than on the desktop), I get Windows 98 style  file names.  That
is, xiao-haizi-guai-guai.ly produces XIAO-H~1.log and XIAO-H~1.pdf.

I think I've made the necessary changes to the scheme files, but I can't
prove it.

2.5.27 on mingw doesn't process fret diagrams properly as released.  I
get an error in ghostcript, as shown here. (It looks like there's an
erroneous // in the font path).

Hi all,

Compiling LilyPond 2.5.27 on FreeBSD is working now.  You need to 
install
the dependencies (including texinfo-4.8, which is now in ports).

To configure lilypond (as a user), use the following command:

autoconf=autoconf259 MAKEINFO=/usr/local/bin/makeinfo ./autogen.sh   \
   --with-kpathsea-include=/usr/local/include/ 
--with-kpathsea-lib=/usr/local/lib/

Compile with "gmake" instead of "make".

I took a stab at updating the port, but I couldn't get the port to 
configure.  When
I configure lilypond as a normal user, it works fine; when I try to 
configure it
via an updated port, it can't use flexlexer.h.  ("found but not usable")
As far as I can tell, I set up the port to use the same stuff as that 
command
above -- at least, it claims to be using autoconf259, and any other 
errors
should result in other messages.  Somebody else can play with it; I 
have no
previous experience with FreeBSD, and no experience making ports or
porting software.  :)

Ok.  Are all the strings there?  There's something weird going on with
the comments that accumulate in the po files.

Yes, lots of possibilities, but I think this is overkill.  There is a
script that will print the differences in the source text since the
last translation, I think that should do for now.  In newweb, type

    make LANG=<MY-LANGUAGE> check-translation

I just copied the directory structure, copied the relevant source
files, and handed that to Tineke.  She likes to translate overwriting
the English source text, while looking at the lilypond.org website for
reference.  As files were finished, I put them in CVS.

Hmm, that's odd.  It should have been removed by normalize filename.
I'll have a look.

Where is the 'ttcf' in the ps file?

Thanks for the report, but I have no idea why that would be, let alone
how to fix it.  Any windows guru around to give some insight?

what happens if you change the // by hand in / ?

Curious. Which fedora? Can you install the debuginfo rpm too, and send a
