Also, feel free to take up MacOS X lilypond issues with me directly
(although I do read lilypond-devel and am not particularly knowledgeable
about any lilypond issues not directly related to the port).

I'm missing documentation and examples for the raggedright setting.
Could you submit those -- I have trouble getting it to work.

What do the commands
>>kpsewhich feta20.mf
>>kpsewhich feta20.pk
and
>>kpsexpand \$VARTEXFONTS
return?

Do you, by chance, have an old soft link from some texmf.local
directory to /usr/local/share/lilypond/ following the old FAQ
on font installation? In that case, the simple solution is to
remove that link.

You will still have to run clean-fonts after updating Lilypond
to clean the generated bitmapped fonts in `kpsexpand \$VARTEXFONTS`.

well actually, the code says

	/*
	  TODO:
	    lengthen stem if necessary
	 */

so this probably never worked.

Strange, have you really used Lilypond since you cleaned up
the fonts last time? As soon as you run ly2dvi on some file,
it should create a feta20.*pk file somewhere in the system
and it should be found by the command above.

All the rest looks normal.

To further help the debugging, you could also send a copy of
the file pointed to by
>>kpsewhich -format='web2c files' mktex.cnf

RE: lilypond and mac os x

Hi Matthias and Jan,

Thanks for your comments and help. I have to put my lilypond issues aside for a few days (and do other work),
but I hope to get back to lilypond this weekend. From the web site, it looks really great and I am eager to get
it up and running!

until then,

Avram

Re: [PATCH] Tablature in LilyPond

Hi,

Here is the third version of the tablature patch; this one should be
applied on the CVS version of Lilypond (which already contains the previous
patch).

Changelog
 - The example "tablature.ly" has been modified so it now display both
tablature and normal staff.
 - The new Stem property "up-to-staff" can be used to have all stem ending
out of the staff (as it is in typical tab)
 - The following feature has been implemented :

OK, added to CVS. Can you please also write some documentation in
Documentation/user/refman.itely ?

CVS yesterday not printing longas

When lily processes the attached file, she isn't printing the \longas
at the end of the parts. This is with CVS of yesterday or so.

I assume this is because something has changed about the

        \property Voice.NoteHead \override  #'style = #'baroque

statement?
