Path to Tomboy notes on Mac OS X

Greetings!

What's the path to Tomboy's notes on Mac OS X 10.7.2? I upgraded my Mac OS and discovered that Tomboy doesn't
run now, apparently a well-known issue. I want to recover my notes now before going on with re-installing
Tomboy. Thanks.

Regards,
Michael

Re: Path to Tomboy notes on Mac OS X

Speaking about Mac OS X, are there not going to be more releases of Tomboy for Mac OS X? I see with a little envy that 1.8.3 has been ready for Windows for a while but people with Macs are stuck with 1.6 (which doesn't work very well for the Mac). Just asking, not complaining (I understand the circumstances).

Re: Path to Tomboy notes on Mac OS X

We are planning for an OS X Lion supported release.

I started working on it last week, but someone else, with more skills, picked it up. I believe they are still working on it.

I just got a Mac two weeks ago and yes I agree, I am dying without Tomboy ;)

Re: Path to Tomboy notes on Mac OS X

You've made my day by saying that you got a Mac :-) Not because I'm fanboy that is happy when others join the cult but because I think this will pretty much guarantee that Macs are not going to be left behind by Tomboy developers :-) I had pretty much all my needs satisfied in terms of software, with the exception of Tomboy. This is the only piece of software for which I haven't found any Mac software that that is equivalent of better from what I was using before. I do hope the issue with the accented characters will be solved soon. Some of my notes are in Catalan or Spanish and, unfortunately, we have those annoying tildes to deal with.

I don't know whether you had owned a Mac before but maybe you'll experience the feeling I started to experience 15 days after I got mine: "once you go Mac, there is no going back" (ok, maybe I am a fanboy).

LOL

I've never had a Mac before this. I've always been OpenSuSE, but yes I agree it is VERY nice. I don't think I will ever leave OpenSuSE, but still I will use both.

Re: Path to Tomboy notes on Mac OS X

Well, yes, it is possible to have a good relationship with old lovers after marriage. I have two virtual machines one with Ubuntu (which I use pretty often because there are some Linux only applications that I need) and the other one with Windows (which I hardly ever use but it is nice to have just in case).

I don't think any of these two old flames puts my marriage at risk, though :-)

Add-in proposal: Tomboy2HTML - export all notes in an HTML file

Hi.

I've a Python script to export all the Tomboy notes into an HTML file.
It could be used as an option in current export, or as a separate add-in.

People find it useful:
http://osmanov-dev-notes.blogspot.com/2011/02/export-all-tomboy-notes-into-htmlxhtml.html

What should I do to make the code look like a Tomboy add-in?

Synchronization tab show "Not Configurable"

Environment: Tomboy Notes 1.8.3 and Windows 7 x86_64

When attempting to setup synchronization of notes, the service drop down is blank and just below the drop down it has the words "Not configurable".  If I backrev to version 1.6.0 then this feature starts working and is configurable.

Any ideas would be helpful.  I have not been able to find a solution.
