Translate the user guide to Spanish COMPLETE WITH ACCENTED CHARACTERS

Hello

Ok.... with accented and special characters: á,é,í,ó,ú,Á,É,Í,Ó,Ú,ñ,Ñ

My last email for the MrProject admin:

Some steps:

Empty directories, delete them?

\mrproject\docs\user-guide\c\img
\mrproject\docs\user-guide\img

New directory: \mrproject\docs\user-guide\es\figures

Copy all figures from mrproject\docs\user-guide\c\figures
to \mrproject\docs\user-guide\es\figures
With the time... figures in Spanish!

when you update the MrProject CVS tell me, because my Project teacher want
to see it in the web
It's very good for me if someone tell with him about me

His email is: angel <at> aut.uah.es
and URL: http://it.aut.uah.es/amoreno/

Thanks people

Translate the user guide to Spanish

Hello

I would like to translate MrProject user guide to Spanish, but I can not do
it.
I don't Know using CVS, help me!

In the URL
http://cvs.gnome.org/registry/file.cgi?cvsroot=/cvs/gnome&file=mrproject.xml
&dir=mrproject%2Fdocs%2Fuser-guide%2FC

If I do click in

View Cross Referenced Source

I go to the URL
http://cvs.gnome.org/lxr/source/mrproject%2Fdocs%2Fuser-guide%2FC/mrproject.
xml

And Mozilla says: 404 Not Found. The requested URL
/lxr/source/mrproject/docs/user-guide/C/mrproject.xml was not found on this
server.

I don't know if I must work online in CVS or if I must work in my
workstation, and later, when the work is finished, to do ftp (or somethink
like that) to CVS.

This is important for me because I must do it for my Project subject of
engineering telecomunication.
I choose this for help to Linux community.

Porting MrProject to wxWindows

Hi everyone,

I'm keen to work with MrProject and develop it further, but the first thing
I would like to do is to port it to wxWindows (please see
http://www.wxWindows.org). Is this OK with you current developers and are
there any developers that would be interested to work with me?

Apparently the web site and the list will be changed to another host. Does
anyone know where and when?

Best regards,

 Antti

MrProject and Postgresql

Forwarding this to the devel list once again (it didn't seem to go thru the last time I sent it)...

From: Justin Clift <justin <at> postgresql.org>
To: kurt <at> maute.us
Subject: MrProject and PostgreSQL

Hi Kurt,

Just saw that the CVS version of MrProject is gaining PostgreSQL support.

Whoo Hooo.  :)

We've got some guys at me day job that're trying out MrProject, and it'll be really nice down the track when PostgreSQL can be the central database and
MrProject is concurrent + multi-user.

:)

Regards and best wishes,

Justin Clift

Thanks, Justin! Credit for this goes to the CodeFactory guys, as I am
merely a document writer and enthusiast, so I'm copying the MrProject
Developer list. ...but I agree that this is a great step forward for
MrProject, and a sign of more good things to come.

patch for gtk.el, adding a few types

Hi!

I am using the gtk.el, gnome.el emacs lisp syntax highlighting script
and added a few types.

Maybe you can use it too. If there is a demand I could propably spend a
few hours in adding aditional types to it?

My patch.

Any thoughts about the patch I sent three weeks ago? Are the maintainers
on vacation, or does the silence here have to do with some Codefactory
people forming another company?

I'd love to get that patch in, but I need maintainer approval...

sql backend status?

Hi,

I see from bugzilla, that the sql backedn is marked as "resolved". what
is the status of the sql support in the gnome2 version of mrproject?

What I would like is to be able to manipulate mrproject data from other
database tools, and reference/integrate it with other non-project related
database tables (thus at some point the mrproject data should be in the
database).

If the database backend support is incomplete, has anyone
already written a script to parse the xml files and turn them into sql
updates/inserts?

regards,

Printing prettification patch

Attached is a patch to mrproject, which modifies certain aspects of the
look of printed gantt charts. It's the result of trying to deploy Mr.
Project as a replacement for MS Project for simple project management in
the company where I work. We quickly discovered that the printing
functionality was rather useless for us, task names got clipped, and the
gantt charts were way too big, so we got a ton of pages printed, with no
way to adjust it.

I realize that the ideal way to fix this is to make things adjustable at
print time, but I'm sort of short on time here, hence the following
patch, which modifies the default sizes on things to something all
project leaders here at least agreed was much more sane.

The only real functionality it adds is that it makes the width of the
task name column depend on the length of the task names. This part of
the patch is based on Daniel Serpell's patch, which is in bug 552 in
bugzilla, but I made it use the actual indent level of each task instead
of assuming a max indent of three.

The rest of the patch just adjusts font sizes down, adjusts the scale
factor, to make the gantt charts less wide, and adjusts the size of the
milestone symbol up a bit. This change of defaults makes printing
insanely more useful for us, and I believe we are not a special case. In
fact, this patch makes the difference between MrProject being usable or
not for us...

Would you consider applying this patch as a stopgap measure until more
of the print parameters become configurable?
