 backported to devbr6 in r50573, and tested with 6.5svn nightly build
 r50577, but still no luck. passing v.to.rast a bad column name leading to
 a G_fatal_error() still leaves dbf.exe and cmd.exe zombie processes
 behind.

 try, try again,

Raster3d map header format change and lib gis modifications

Dear developer,
i would like to inform about my plans to modify the header format of
raster3d maps.
The reason is the integration of vertical unit support to distinguish
between 3d spatial voxel cubes
and space time (2d + 1d) voxel cubes represented as raster3d maps.

I have created a ticket about this issue, to discuss these changes
befor i commit them:
https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/ticket/1562

Modifications will be made in the raster3d library, the gis library
and several related header files.
Additionally i will add the new module r3.support, so the user is able
to create/edit title, description,
history and the units of a raster3d map. The modification of the
raster3d map header format will lead normally to
incompatibilities regarding older versions, but my implementation
takes care of this issue, so backward compatibility
will be assured.

In case there are no objections regarding the modifications, i will
submit my patch next week.

Best regards
Soeren

 Hi Anna,

 I have just updated svn (50521?) and opened a saved workspace, it seems to
 work :-)
 No other major side-effects noticed but have not given GRASS an intensive
 workout yet today.

 I have changed the status to resolved-worksforme I hope that's not being
 too ambitious in playing with its status? Will leave it for others with
 better knowledge to change its status any further.

 Thanks for figuring it out :-)

GRASS Master Web site + Wiki temporarily down

Hi all,

I made a Debian dist upgrade today but some boot troubles remained.
The system upgrade of the machine didn't succeed completely, SAC is
working on that (it's late here for me now).

Enjoy meanwhile our mirror sites:
http://grass.fbk.eu/mirrors.php

and read-only mirror Wiki:
http://grass.fsv.cvut.cz/wiki-mirror/index.php/Main_Page

The main server will hopefully be back in some hours.

just wondering about a more general solution; what happens if you search
for the executable bit when run from Windows, where such a distinction may
not exist?

if (access(filepath, X_OK) == 0) {
    G_message("is exe");
}

r50633, quick check, doesn't work on Windows. Don't know why.

Hi,

what is purpose of `full output` in `db.drivers`? It just prints

sqlite:

dbf:
odbc:
ogr:
