Re: Import schema (version 2.1.2)

Dear Edgar,

it seems that HALE 2.1.2 has a problem when using the "Types as List"
option in the Schema Explorer with the ProtectedSitesFull schema, as the
ProtectedSite element is defined twice (each with a different
namespace), but only one is shown. The ProtectedSite type in your
screenshot actually is the type defined in the ProtectedSites base schema.
If you don't show the types as a list, you can see the ProtectedSite
defined in the full schema in the hierarchy (as in the attached
screenshot) - I think this workaround is the best option.

Best regards,
Simon

HALE 2.5.0.M1 Released

Dear all,

with this release - the first in four months - the HALE team brings you
a beta version dubbed 2.5.0.M1. We have made HALE ready for many of the
complex and challenging tasks that users of schema transformation tools
face. The core models and many UI components have largely been
redeveloped to support features such as:

- Support multiple source schemas in a mapping
- Advanced XML schema support (subtyping, cycles, choices, ...)
- Generic XML and CSV as data format
- Cardinality support for property transformations
- Advanced type transformations

As usual, additional information is available form the community website:

http://community.esdi-humboldt.eu/projects/hale/news

We are looking for users who would be willing to take in part in an
evaluation of this software. Please send me a short note if you'd be
willing to support us in improving HALE!

Kind regards,

Thorsten

geomodel editor question

Dear developers,
I am approaching the Humboldt project and would like to have a first
run on all the components.
To have a good idea about the projects, I want to build them from source.

Since I am string with the geomodel editor project, I wanted to know
if it is in any way longer supported.
I have the feeling that the projects is of strategic importance in
order to be able to produce schemas of the data one is starting with.
The project seems to have no docs on the website.

Is the current document still actual?
http://community.esdi-humboldt.eu/documents/13
Is there a reason (apart of resources, which is what I am guessing)
why there are so many workarounds to do to get it working?

Thanks for any insight,
Best regards,
Andrea

HALE 2.1.1 release now available

Deal all,

right in time for the INSPIRE conference, a new HALE release has been
made. As a first, there are now 32bit and 64bit versions for the major
operating systems available (Windows, Linux, MacOSX). In terms of
features, it brings generic XML export (instead of limitations to GML)
and fixes a number of issues. In addition, HALE now comes with a cache
for external files, such as schemas, so that when downloaded, the files
will stay available and HALE can also work offline

For the full list of updates, download links and more, please refer to
the news page on the community site:

http://community.esdi-humboldt.eu/news/show/29

We are looking forward to receiving your feedback, prferably via the
message board. Please also redistribute this news message to the other
projects that you are active in if applicable.

Best regards,

Thorsten

p.s.: Fraunhofer will be represented at the INSPIRE conference with a
booth. If you are interested to see what HALE can do today and would
also like to know more about our other technologies, please don't
hesitate to join us there!

New HALE Release 2.1.0 speaks English, Deutsch, Espanol and CSV

Dear all,

we are happy to announce the next version of the HUMBOLDT Alignment
Editor. After a "beta" release last month, this release improves
stability and removes several known and new bugs identified by you, and
adds several smaller and bigger features. Of those bigger ones, note the
new multilanguage support. It includes a German and a Spanish
translation, with an Italian one coming with the next release. What has
also been added is the capability to export mappings as
Comma-Separated-Value files for import into your favorite Spreadsheet
application, such as Excel.

For the full list of updates, download links and more, please refer to
the news page on the community site:

http://www.esdi-community.eu/news/show/28

We are looking forward to receiving your feedback, prferably via the
message board. We would especially like to encourage you to tell us what
features you need; please either post on this mailing list or in this
thread on the message board:

http://community.esdi-humboldt.eu/boards/3/topics/show/80

Best regards,

The HALE Development Team

Re: Hello

Hi Hiwot,

just a question. If you are genereting OML by Hale - can you see proper
results in Hale's map view? I guess that cst html client generates you
target link to GML, but the GML is unchanged. Is that right? If yes then
I think the mistake is in your oml or bug in cst library.

Kind regards,
Jan.

P.S. I'm cc'ing this to Humboldt devel-list.

Re: FW: [Humboldt] - Cstwps building with maven - Problem report

Grégory,

after closer look - the build complains that it can't find
src/main/resource folder. Seems that your copy is broken somehow.
Jan.

P.S. It would be better if you attach a txt file with cmd output better
than doc with printscreen.

Re: FW: [Humboldt] - Cstwps building with maven - Problem report

Hi Grégory,

sorry for late response. From the screenshot you send I can see some
warnings that should not cause the build to fail. I just committed few
changes to avoid these warning. You can try to update and see if it helps.

Kind regards,
Jan.

Re: FW: [Humboldt] - Cstwps building with maven - Problem report

Hi Thorsten,

as this is second time we encounter the issue with port accessibility - do you think Fraunhofer admins can think about solving this issue? From my experience our administrators links the applications somehow that they are accessible under port 80 even if they run on 8080 so for example Tomcat on 8080 and Apache on 80 can both coexist and all applications are accessible from port 80 (as long as they different path). If I remember well it is done by mod_jk. What do you think?

Regards,
Jan.

Dear colleagues, In the framework of the Nature-SDIplus project (e-content+ project) I am doing some data transformation tests using Humboldt development software. I have successfully define the alignment between my source data model (actually a shapefile with protected sites) and the INSPIRE ProtectedSite XSD with the Alignment Editor. No problem for that. At present I would like to use CST-WPS to perform the transformation and get my GLM 3.2.1 files (compliant with the INSPIRE application schema for protected sites). If I understood well, the CST-WPS is the tool I should use? *Am I right?* I face some problem during the building process of the CST-WPS (using maven) (on windows OS). I managed to follow the instructions given on the apache-maven web page (success with the command line “mvn –
version”).
The problem started when typing this command line “|mvn clean install”|. I have attached the print screen from the “cmd” in order to ease to track the problem. Do you have any idea about the problem? Can you help me? Best regards, Grégory Lucas.
